fine then. ali and plunkett looked like cannon-fodder to me in the warm-up match, i'll take that.
Well lets not rejoice so quickly yet, Munaf might miss out the ODI due to an injury and if they replace him with AA. Then our bowling with Irfan, Bhajji and AA makes Ali and Plunkett look a lot better.

its 12:48 UK time, just saw on sky game staring at 3:30, for me hopefully England's fields this team:

Strauss
Solanki/Bell
Shah
Pietersen
Flintoff
Collingwood
Jones
Blackwell
Plunkett
Ali
Anderson

Wouldn't pick Hoggard since i fear he will get clobbered, OD cricket is not his thing.

I would expect Prior to open considering he did well in the warm-up match. Solanki and Bell will compete for the #3 spot, Shah wasted a big opportunity in the warm-up.

I'm not really too disappointed about that. India will develop some depth and learn to cope without Sachin.
they better...the way things have been shaping up for him, they might not have too much of his services even after he comes back from injury....

india's top order travails continue...:@

is sehwag impersonating the old afridi or something? has chappell and dravid told him he just needs to score once every 20-25 one day matches or so? he is the bloody team vice-captain...isn't he???

Perhaps India need to take a breather and consolidate, no need to push for a over 5 run rate for the next few overs.

Frankly, I rather want Raina to bat for a while. Would be grand to see how he performs in this situation. But first Kaif and Dravid.

What's that they say about being careful what you wish for? I think I jinxed Kaif.

India need to keep wkt in hand, they can afford to slow the run rate, as they have Dhoni and Pathan, 2 batsmen that can score very quickly later on.

Raina showing a little inexperience here. The same deliveries he was planting his foot and playing beautifully the other day, he's wafting at them away from his body here. Come on Raina!
