He's had a good few spells, not as many as the seamers obviously. He had 1 wicket @ 170ish for a while before he picked up a few other wickets.

Not an huge amount, two wickets before today, I'd put him at 3 for England, and it's just another bowling option. Partnership breaker at least.

This is what I was thinking. His batting is good enough that he is a legitimate choice at three and his bowling is just a bonus. Turns it the other way as well, doesn't he?
Another spin option never hurts, particularly with the India tour at the end of the year. I'd probably call him up for the dead rubber in this series and tell him he's got the Pakistan series as well to prove himself.
