**Official** County Cricket 2016

Bell-Drummond is a bloody run machine he's now scored 703 runs in his last 9 innings averaging 140.6, yeh mostly against very average bowling but its still a great run he's on. Unfortunately he'll probably have to move to a div 1 side to get England recognition.

Bell-Drummond could be doing to men in 2016 what he did to kids in 2012 though tbh. Very impressive clusters of scores with a bullying edge to them, but doing it with leaden feet, too many bottom-handed and uncontrolled larrups, and too much lifting of his head on connection. DBD then struck the likes of Joel Paris presenting a lateral movement challenge to him in their U19 World Cup, and didn't fire at all.

He's certainly bottom handed dominant but his shot selection is ok (I guess he's learnt from mistakes as all young batsman do, I didn't see him in 2012 but I went to about 4 f/c matches last year and the AUS warm up game and he was a bit hit and miss but this season he's looked very composed with a clear mind which might.

Have you seen much of him since 2012? Here's his ton against AUS with Harris and Johnson, has he changed much? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Koj-3FvGotA

Yeah he does look more polished and balanced compared to 2012. Being hellishly strong picking the ball off a middle stump line is still very much on the cards too, by the looks.

Iain O'Brien always said stick to a fifth stump line with Bell-Drummond, and stock outswingers like this will need to be negotiated better, for sure -

Lancs untroubled by yesterday's hammering it would seem - Surrey 26-4 with Sanga and Roy gone and Wagner yet to bowl - relegation fears fast receding

Not too sure about Smith being made 4 day captain when he can hardly make a run, and does his not making runs very slowly.

What an epic collapse. 195-1 to 273-8. Shocking batting.

Sam Hain needs a spell in the 2nd team i think, our vaunted middle order has been **** this year.

Mmh and I thought a bit of frustrated luckswinging in that latest t20 match might have been beneficial.

At least Westwood's replacement showed immediate value.

Yeah, I was surprised he played the T20 but he came off in a big way. Seems to have given him no form though.

Umeed's ton really good, Westy has been a sitting duck the last few weeks. Might be the end of things for him as a Bear, which will be sad he has been a solid contributor for years.

Big chance to take a commanding 1st dig lead here. Need to finish off tail, we we have struggled with so far this year.
