With a spin friendly wicket, one imagines that MacGill and Warne have to play (although you never know with Hohns and co). That means Symonds plays. That probably means Clarke will sit out, and Martyn will be in. The selectors wouldn't have picked Martyn, a 34 year old, if he were not going to play. Clarke still has youth on his side and I daresay he'll only play in place of Symonds.

As good as I think Clark is, I think Bracken is better, so this selection surprises me somewhat. Hopefully Lee and Kasper can fire with the new cherry, Clark nag away with his good L&L and Warne be a crazy wicket-taking machine once more.

You're joking. No way should Clark be getting a game over MacGill, especially on a pitch expected to turn. You'd think that with Clark playing they could take out Symonds and put in a real test batsman (Clarke), and at least make one right decision.
