Not me. I think there's a big gap between MacGill and our 3rd best quick - as shown in the Ashes. Also, and this is not directed at anybody on here imparticular, but I've never understood why the pitch has to be a raging turner for a second spinner to play. As far as I'm concerned, unless it's an absolute greentop, then a second spinner who is able to turn the ball on most surfaces anyway (such as MacGill) should play if he is a better bowler than your 3rd best quick.
yea i'm not doubting that currently that the gap between MacGill and our 3rd best seamer isn't big (but with the reemergence of Dizzy & Kasper that could change soon). But what i'm saying looking at how SA played the spin in Australia especially MacGill they played him fairly well.So i'm saying pick Tait since he could surprise them.

i really don't get the big dilemma in deciding who is going to be the 2nd seamer once 2 spinners are picked? . It has to be Kasper obviously, i tell ya if Clark only plays it will be really stupid.

I tell you being born and bred in one country yet supporting another one halfway across the world for no reason other than being a gloryhunter is really stupid.

Nothing new there. Warne always a big mouth and Smith is not one to back down.

Lets see what happens on the field, all this talk and no action from people are getting boring.

Smith is all mouth and Warne is not one to back down applies as well..

Totally agreed with you though, I am sick and tired of hearing whats going to happen before a ball has even been bowled

Why? You do...

We all have our views if you think Clark could possibly bowl better in the test than Dizzy or Tait if given the chance fair enough i'll just cant see how, so we will leave it as that
*cough*
Tait is too easy.
Seriously think Clark could do any worse?

They wont get close i would put my life on it, Australia have all the momentum they will win by 150 runs minnimum..

I rest my case.

i don't know what these are suppose to prove. Bringing up that one of againt somerset last year doesn't prove anything at all since it was just one game if Tait were to have a full county he would surely do better. Secondly you show the 5th test scorecard which doesn't have fantastic stats but assuming you dont rate Tait as a bowler & you show this scorecard as evidence you obviously dont know what you are about since Tait showed good signs in that test especially on the 1st afternoon when he getting the ball to really reverse-swing.

Secondly i wont hold back on my comment on sunday, i was confident that australia would have one & on most occassions they would have they just defended poorly. Their is nothing ignorant about having confidence in your team to achieve something which they should have.

But all this is not the point you like others fools before want to start another stupid debate with me because i support Australia, i say again drop it and dont corrupt this thread with your thrash..

SA will take heart from two things. First, he surely couldn't bat any better than he did out here in the last series. Second, he may be rendered impotent by his graphite-less bat! Seriously though, I think Ntini is the genuine article at home (averages 23; away: averages 38) and will need to win the new-ball battles with Ponting (and our openers) if South Africa are to stand a chance.
