Can't believe you guys cry so much over an LBW that wasn't given. You guys have been riding with luck for such a long time now, SA got hammered with bad decisions in Aus ... Didn't see us cry and cry and cry about it.

Its the game, bad luck. Carry on ...

This first session is going to be vital for both teams. For Australia to win they need to get Kallis out early and prevent him from reaching his hundred but if Kallis goes on SA are in with a real chance of levelling the series.

Is it me or has Kallis played some attacking cricket this test series (more than usual anyway), both getting him in trouble often (dismissals in the first test), but also getting him some success and quick runs.

Definitely his 50 came off just 49 balls yesterday. Very strange for Kallis who would normally score a 50 off 120 or so balls. He probably figures the Aussies are going to get him out eventually so he wants to make some runs before they do.

Ponting really let the suddies of the hook. Sure it would have been a tough decision to bring on lee and in all likelihood end the days play but warne and symonds were simply allowing the sout sfricans to settle-in and peel-off some easy runs. He let it go on for too long, I could understand him giving the spinners 30 mins or so to see if they were getting anything, but surely when it was obvious they were not he should have gone off. I guess it is not the aussie/ponting way to go off, either way from the time the spinners came on the south africans dominated with ease.

Cricinfo is finally back on track here. Good to see Clark getting De Villiers early, but well played for him to get a 50, given his horrid run recently. How's Clark bowling, to those watching?

Gee Kallis has really slowed down now. Has the pitch deteriorated or has Kallis just decided to defend?

"Gilchrist shakes hands with Kallis for his hundred, Lee runs to Kallis and says well played mate.
That is Lunch on day 3."

I like it :)

Since the dismissals of Gibbs and Smith the South Africans have batted well, with all their batsmen making starts. With Kallis and Rudolph still there and Pollock, Boucher and Boje to come SA will probably have a first innings lead.
