What are you on about...nobody has even mentioned Pakistan..the above reply was to a different topic altogether

Don't think Pakistanis would have been quiet either, we atleast keep quiet and complain abt umpiring decisions here, Pak ex-cricketers like bari gets told by ICC to shut-up....Indians were with pak on Shepherds decision BTW

Maybe I would use something more harsh..you wouldn't know until it truly happens

But the point is, he did raise the question which he should have and we all feel the pinch of bad umpiring

Yes, TV's and LBW's..easy to put it that way

Not for long. Yuvraj's defensive technique against both spin and pace is just HORRIBLE. Can't see why Ganguly insists on selecting him; and then insists that he can be an opener. Ganguly destoyed Chopra's confidence with his stupidity.

Sack Yuvraj, Zaheer Khan and Ganguly for sure. Maybe Laxman as well.

And these guys make millions endorsing products :@

Patel falls lbw to warne. point of contact four inches outside off stump. Bucknor doesnt see it. Not that it would have mattered much in the ultimate anlaysis. But really bad umpiring here.

Yuvraj disappoints his many fans on this forum. I am not surprised :D

I wish Marc770920978273 would shut the f*ck up, whenever someone complains about umpiring he always jumps in saying to stop blaming umpires. The decisions have been shocking and generally all gone against India and that is a major factor in their defeat. If your an India supporter, there is every right to be p*ssed of with the umpiring.

I agree with those saying Yuvraj should be dropped, as much as i like him as a player he's not good enough for tests. Mongia or Kaif should come in if Sachin still isn't fit

It's comments like that that cast a very bad light on Indian supporters. You make Indian supporters in general look like sore losers and bad sportsmen when it is surely not the case.

It's one thing to be annoyed with some bad decisions; it's another for so many people to come onto the forum getting personally abusive, or just downright annoying with the incessant berating of the umpires who have done their best.

As for what you said about Marc, maybe you should practice what you preach, because at least he has the sense to be objective and less irritating.

4 inches isnt that much you know, especially when viewing from over 22 yards away, and there is bat and pad flying around all over the place.

These decisions have happened from the year dot. We now have the slow motion replay so we can see the 'errors'....but they have always happened..its a part of the game, which ever way the judgement goes. (gotta remember the LBW is in some ways a judgement call as opposed to a 'matter of fact' call, like a run out etc...the umpire has to decide whether a batsman has played a legitimate shot at the ball etc.

(This isnt directed at you SJS) All this talk of bias etc is an utter joke...people should be accepting the result(if Australia do win, which looks probable) of a game which Australia has completely dominated. In my opinion, teams tend to get these decisions against them when they get into those positions regularly, ie when they are playing poorly.

Hawkeye isnt the answer to the LBW question in its present state, Hawkeye is currently an aid for commentators and spectators...people on here are saying taht technology should be used..no-one has really come up with a solution.

It all sounds like sour grapes to me!!!!

Err yea, India head towards a 250-300 run defeat and it's all the umpires fault. The best teams nearly always make the most of the things that go their way and when people look it afterwards come up with stuff like 'such and such umpire cost us 59 runs with Clarke' whereas India made less of their extra lives, so at the end of it all the best teams appear to be 'luckier'.

erm ..you dont lose by 300 runs or whatever it might be because of a couple of dodgy decisions. people talk as though its a new thing, umpires making dubious decisions..wll it isnt.

'generally all gone against India'...well they either have or they havent..you cant have a generally in there..which one is it.

That was simply brilliant, Sehwag309.

India without Tendulkar is a totally different Team, than when he is part of the Team. I hope Tendulkar will be fit to play in the second Test.

To Indian fans I want to say don't be distraught. This is only the first Test in a 4 test series. Afterall most tourists to subcontinent start to wear as the tours progress. Tendulkar's return will make the difference, IMO.

WRT umpiring, Shepherd and Buchnor have been struggling in the past few years. They have survived on reputations of the past. Like Venkat they should give it up when they know they are past it, without trying to cling on to the ICC umpiring gravey train.

Having said that, Australia is a solid cricket machine, that demolishes most oppositions, even when they are at their best. So a weakened Indian line-up without SRT was not going to be enough, particularly when a Test debutant scores Century. Briliant Knock from Clarke that took the game away from India.

All is not lost. This is only first of 4 tests. SRT can make a difference.
