A really, really bad decision by Bowden. A real stinker.
That's why we need technology !Hala said:No offence but get real. Not even the Indian fielders seemed convinced it was out, in real time it looked obviously not out as it barely brushed the gloves. If Gillespie hadn't walked I doubt the Indian fielders would have been too agrieved it would have been an exceptional decision if Bucknor had picked up the ball brushing the glove. Frankly I think you guys should lighten up a little bit about the whole thing with Bucknor, you're just not thinking at all.
Despite more rational Indian supporters actually thinking that he was out at first look?krishneelz said:because tendulkar was clearly not out.
Yes, the West Indies.krishneelz said:It would nearly be impossible to chase down 400-500 but there is only one team that can do it.
Too right. Sehwag had words with Bowden as he walked off. He didn't refuse to leave or anything, but you could tell his tone was not very friendly. If he doesn't get fined for that, all you umpire-bashers can turn your attention to the lenient ICC!Hala said:And expect Sewag to be fined for his disent as he walked off.
To be fair though, it's a lot easier to walk off when you're more than 450 nin front.Mr Casson said:Can't say the Aussies don't play fair!
Hala said:Irregardless of whether its his first test in India or not that decision was one of the worst I've seen ever watching cricket. I don't think hes doing it deliberatly but like players, umpires do have form slumps, I remember Russell Tiffen giving many shocking decisions in last Ashes test in Sydney in the 2002/03 Ashes series, and thinking that he was the worst umpire in the world. Then a few months later I saw him umpiring a match and he was brilliant and not making mistakes.
Yes Bowden has made some big, serious mistakes in this series, and yes they have seemed to favour Australia. However, I think its very unfair and reflects poorly on those doing it who accuse him of deliberatly ruling against the Indian players.
And expect Sewag to be fined for his disent as he walked off.
Sounds like the comments of more than a few members on here...rajat said:He showed his As s(that is he was shameless)
It will be a convenient excuse for the fact that they've been convincingly outplayed.JustTool said:India being beaten by terrible umpiring yet again !
This is the problem. You can fine players for showing any dissent (even shaking their heads) at an obviously unforgivable error by an umpire BUT there is no penalty for screwed up umpiring or continued errors. And, listening to some on the Board, that's OK but technology should never be used. Does this make any sense at all ?Mr Casson said:Too right. Sehwag had words with Bowden as he walked off.
