From CricInfo:
2.2 McGrath to Sehwag, OUT: duck! good length delivery, pitched outside the off stump and angling in, Sehwag tries to defend and ends up with a BIG inside edge on to his pad, loud appeal and the finger goes up, Bowden's bad run continues!

Atherton says 'Enormous' inside edge.

Well now Sehwag's gone, LBW despite an inside edge.

BEFORE THE UMPIRE BASHING GOES ANY FURTHER:
It's really starting to get annoying. The crowd noise must be unbelievable (I've not experienced it first-hand, but everyone who has says it is), so to expect people to hear edges all the time in India is asking a lot. It's been a consistent feature of this match that edges aren't being picked up properly by the umpires, so at least it's evened itself out somewhat.

When I saw it on TV, despite the aid of mics at the stumps and what not, I didn't hear anything and my first thought was "THAT'S CLOSE!", although I had a suspicion that he may have edged it.

Anyway, give the umpires a break (especially Bowden); he's never umpired a test in India before.

The fact of the matter is that these are two extremely experienced umpires who are doing the best they can in phenomenally adverse conditions. Bring in less experienced umpires at your peril; they might just f*ck it up even more.

No offence but get real. Not even the Indian fielders seemed convinced it was out, in real time it looked obviously not out as it barely brushed the gloves. If Gillespie hadn't walked I doubt the Indian fielders would have been too agrieved it would have been an exceptional decision if Bucknor had picked up the ball brushing the glove. Frankly I think you guys should lighten up a little bit about the whole thing with Bucknor, you're just not thinking at all.
That's why we need technology !

Irregardless of whether its his first test in India or not that decision was one of the worst I've seen ever watching cricket. I don't think hes doing it deliberatly but like players, umpires do have form slumps, I remember Russell Tiffen giving many shocking decisions in last Ashes test in Sydney in the 2002/03 Ashes series, and thinking that he was the worst umpire in the world. Then a few months later I saw him umpiring a match and he was brilliant and not making mistakes.

Yes Bowden has made some big, serious mistakes in this series, and yes they have seemed to favour Australia. However, I think its very unfair and reflects poorly on those doing it who accuse him of deliberatly ruling against the Indian players.

And expect Sewag to be fined for his disent as he walked off.

Too right. Sehwag had words with Bowden as he walked off. He didn't refuse to leave or anything, but you could tell his tone was not very friendly. If he doesn't get fined for that, all you umpire-bashers can turn your attention to the lenient ICC!

When was the last time an Indian batsman got hit on the pad, there was an appeal and Bucknor didn't raise his finger ?

Answer: Never.

I dont think it was complete disent, it was more due to pressure and he was shocked at the decision...I dont think he should and will get fined

India being beaten by terrible umpiring yet again !
It will be a convenient excuse for the fact that they've been convincingly outplayed.

Bit like Pakistani's complaining about that Amsterdam - gloss over the team's mistakes, and blame the umpire.

This is the problem. You can fine players for showing any dissent (even shaking their heads) at an obviously unforgivable error by an umpire BUT there is no penalty for screwed up umpiring or continued errors. And, listening to some on the Board, that's OK but technology should never be used. Does this make any sense at all ? :@
