The problem is not if the ball is going to hit the stumps the problem is you cant accept an umpires decision, when you do learn to accept their decisions you will see how pathetic statements about biased unpiring are.

First of all, I won't call them injustices....they are mistakes and there is nothing deliberate about them. And yes, it so happens that he has committed quite a number of those mistakes against India and so I am piqued about it. Why is that a problem ? And all umpires commit mistakes but Bucknor seems to have increased his count more then others. And so, my opinion is that Bucknor is right now the worst umpire in the elite panel and should be removed just like Asoka De Silva got removed last year. De Silva was the worst I have ever seen in the elite panel.
Except its been Bowden who has been making the errors so far in this series that have favoured Australia not Bucknor. Jumping on a bandwagon is not cool.

Now on the actual match side of things, McGrath said on radio here this morning that he would like to bowl with a total of 500 on the board, and with 5 sessions to do it in, so I would expect some fireworks from the Australian batsmen this morning. Anything over 400 is going to be hard to chase if the pitch breaks down over the next two days.

Hey you scullywag i was reffering to the bulletin that cricinfo put out saying that the ball wouldnt have hit the stumps it would have just missed and i did not comment about bias umpiring.

It's one thing for Cricinfo to say it, but they're not infallible. The only way you can really comment on it with your own personal opinion is to see it yourself.

im debating buying the cricinfo radio commentary for the series. its $7.99.
it doesn't say who's going to be doing the commentary. has anybody used it before??

look, in the series last year:
bucknor gives t'kar out. wasn't out .
then he gives langer not out twice. don't remember which match, but it was of agarkar. the guy was plumb. in the same test, he give martyn not out when he was out. these are 3, nay 4 mistakes i can remember off hand.
add to that his mimcking dravid in the odis.
so, i think most indian fans have enough reasons not to send him christmas cards.

in this match however, most of the bad decisions have been from bowden and he has been pretty consistent with those so us indians have no real reason to crib about the umpiring.

Maybe you should get off the toilet and watch the replay again. It was going to hit the stumps. :@
It was going over. Chopra was not out. Just like Tendulkar was not out when he ducked and got hit by a bouncer from McGrath in Australia (were you in the toliet both times ?) :)

Listening to Slater praising the Australians for scoring around 30 in 14 overs this morning - remember, they are around 400 runs ahead. Steady. etc. etc. Same guy who was complaining that Pathan and Patel were not scoring fast enough when India was under tremendous pressure.
Just love these commentators. Probably the worst of them all is Sanjay Manjrekar who continues to be host, series after series...

It was out. Tendulkar ducked really low, the ball didn't rise and struck around his shoulder. The ball had already peaked and was on its way down. It was hitting 3/4 up.

the ball was hitting the between the very top of his front pad and his his thigh. it was not peaking because when it came off the pad it flew past the stumps above the stumps. But you would expect a seasoned proffesional like tendulkar to play at something close like that especially when it was seaming in

IMO it was not out but anywho looks like martyn and gilchrist are piling on the runs and india will be looking to chase close to 500 on the last day. Its a matter of when australia will win the match now

Probably exactly how Bucknor went through this complex analysis in a split second. And just like Bucknor you are absolutely incorrect. And that's why we need more technology. Hope that's not to complicated for you to follow :-)

I even remeber Ian Healy and Mark Taylor i think it was saying it was a bad decision
It was not a bad decision. It was an interesting decision because it was such a strange situation. It made everyone reach for their rule books, but at the end of the day the correct decision was made.

And after Lehmann's innings I would be worried if I were him. That was local weekend park cricket stuff.
err no, you dont drop a proven player of spin, particularly someone who is arguably the best player of spin in the side.

They're different situations for the two teams. Australia are looking to win, whereas in India's situation they needed runs to lessen the gap.

Then again, I can see your point, because by that stage India were all but out of the game, and they should have just been looking to play out as much time as possible and put Australia in as late as possible to run through them.
