I wasn't going to say it, but I did notice Apu seemed to be lurking in the back room of my local Quik-E-Mart tonight. I was waiting at the counter for quite a while!

The joys of server-hopping whilst India are playing. I've found the Sri Lankan server a decent bet at times, the NZ one's a good stab in the evening UK time, but by then it's usually calmed down, anyway.

Matt Hayden?

And no, I will not waste an airfare to London and spend all day on a bus to Exeter (from the map it looks like at least 6 hours on bus) just to eat your computer
National Express NX 501, London to Exeter, eight times a day, journey takes between 4 and 5 hours depending on which one you get and hence where it stops on the way.

Great for impulse visits to Test matches.

Good to see Scallywag's got over the Champions Trophy...

Poor shot there from Sehwag, just when India were starting to look good. It's going to be interesting to see how Warne does against Ganguly and Laxman now, and also to see if Kasprowicz and the other Australian seamers can match Pathan's reverse swing.

I was thinking (hoping?) Sehwag was a chance...

He is a player who seems to lack patience, and hadn't had a lot of the strike.

Of course, that doesn't mean he will go out, just that he's more vulnerable than usual.

98/4 tough spot.. Its all upto Y.Singh to battle it out there with VVS Laxman.. i dont really think Patel will do much.. Australia well on top... and to think S.Waugh missing would have favoured Indias chances slightly..

On the other hand magnificant debut by Clarke superb 151.. and then standing captain gilly did well to notch up a century himself.. australia might have had a poor start.. but almost everyone contributed there to reach a pretty good total of 474 only on day 2..

Will be interesting from here on..

I have never mentioned the Champions trophy Neil, I assume you are talking about the one where the West Indies pasted England. Just to show how pathetic you are.

Yeah I know your gunna ban me. You can dish it but you cant take it.

What on earth happened to Anil Kumble? 71 runs in 15 overs? Something's gone drastically wrong out there. And Irfan Pathan? He bowled well on the first day, but did little useful today. If the batting is under pressure, if they fall apart, if they don't score enough runs, the bowlers are to blame.

It's up to Laxman to set things right. This is a very good opportunity for Yuvraj to improve his chances of making the Test team, since he's a better fielder than some of the regulars, including 2 A-class contracted players.

India has lost the series

we all know that the first few days set the trend for the series

i heard ppl complaining about indians cheating

When u watch Bucknor umpiring matches with aussies its hard to see no bribes being placed

or if just a mistake how many mistakes can a team copp
Australia have certainly got the nod in all the debatable decisions, though none have been real howlers (I didn't see the Clarke LBW).

Doesn't change the fact that India have been completely outplayed since taking the 4th Aussie wicket.

He's a better fielder than all of the regulars, but that shouldn't be a particularly significant factor in deciding whether he stays in when Sachin returns. Chopra's awful dismissal could well be decisive in this respect, even if Yuvraj fails with the bat.
