98.5 Kumble to Clarke, no run, .;pitched in line and went on to his the
pad, huge appeal for lbw turned down, looked very close, the only
doubt factor was the height, Billy Bowden not convinced, Kumble is
not happy

Its got to be hitting the wicket to be out.

Watch the replay mate. It wasn't going to do anything but hit the wicket!

I'm afraid it would have.

Brilliant century for Clarke there. Special stuff.
Agree on both counts.

Although I don't think he should be there ahead of others, it has been a great innings, one of true class.

This is awfull bowling by Harbhajan to Gilly bowling outside leg stump with no atemp to take a wicket at all.

the way gillys going, he will catch up by the time clarke reaches 125
Oops... Nope :p

Anyway, what a special piece of cricket this has been... I'm so happy for the young fella, great to see all his hardwork pay off.

Great innings from Gilchrist, too. Let's see if Clarke and Warne push on any further.

That wicket of Gilly was so important.

I didn't see the LBW appeal that was turned down, but from what I heard it seems Clarke was nervous in the 90s and Kumble had him plum?

score at lunch, 423 for 6, off 115.1 overs, Gilchrist out to a great caught and bowled by Harbhajan Singh.

Clarke will captain Australia one day, mark my words
I really hope not. Although his debut has classed him as a potential great (yes, I have been circumspect about him for a long time now, buthe has convinced me so far) the times I have seen him captain Australia 'A' he has been fairly weak tactically.

No, Super Ricky was going to fly from the stands and deflect it wide!

Well, according to some people he's done everything else, so surely he can fly?

Well deserved standing ovation for the kid... 151 classy, classy runs.

Well, when people are calling you over-rated, that's the best way to respond.

Well done, Clarkey, you're a true champ!
