For those who missed it - Gilchrist just caught Kaif off his glove and the appeal was turned down. After it Gilchrist said to Kaif "that came off your glove mate" and it looked like Kaif responded with a nod, then Gilchrist said "the whole world is watching, champ".

Interesting confrontation. Some might interpret it as Gilchrist telling another batsman to walk, although I think it is pretty standard fare for when a batsman if clearly gone and is given not out, it just happened to be caught on the stump microphone.

Only if they get early wickets. The Indians have showed the Australians how to bat on the pitch, controlled aggresion. Perhaps having spinners at both ends mike make it a different story for the Australians, but they will need 180 at least.

yeah I guess he did, any fines coming his way? he should, cos he is bringing the game into disrepute by cheating the system, and admitting it, and proof is available. IMO

I wonder what he would've scored if the umpire didn't give him out lbw, which was a bit iffy.

more shots like that and i doubt he would have survived much longer anyways. playing kumble back in itself is bad enough but to play kumble(or for that matter any bowler) on the back foot on that wicket suggests that you've got a death wish.

I dont think SJS is criticizing Tendulkar for being aggresive. What he means to say that Sweep shot is a very risky shot, especially in conditions like that when there is uneven bounce on the pitch. Tendulkar should have chosen his shots carefully.

What a catch by Ponting! Two wickets for Clarke in test cricket and a bunch of catches in the last two matches as well. Looks like he can't do a thing wrong.
