Well we need a solid and reliable man behind the stumps with the gloves. Karthik really seems the best option, as I've heard Dhoni also is unreliable with the gloves on, although I've never seen Dhoni play.

The best option to me is Dinesh Karthik, his batting is rated quite highly in domestic circles and his wicketkeeping is the best in India after Mongia.

Patel does not show incompetence in his batting, this could be one of the reasons they have given the position to him in the Indian squad, this series has been beneficial to his batting and his batting average.
