**Official** Australia in India Thread

The Aussies gifted 100 runs to the Kaif-Patel partnership. Do the Indians really have to return the favour? Harbhajan's over-the-wicket line is too predictable, and just about everyone is saying that he should go round the wicket.

Sehwag? Exactly. Give the main bowlers a rest. He can't do too bad as a fill-in, and not far worse than the main bowlers.

You never know. 3 overs without losing 1 wicket. It could be sudden- it will be sudden when it comes.

I'd hate to be Dinesh Karthik right now, he's clearly the best technical gloveman in India besides Nayan Mongia at the moment. He's a solid FC batsman as well, he must be annoyed as hell that he's having to sit out in place of an incompetent Parthiv Patel.
A lot of fans recommend MS Dhoni. What's your opinion? Perhaps they can give him a run in the SA series.

I reckon Gillespie can face 100 overs by himself! :D

This is great by Australia. There's no need to race at all. Tire out the Indians, break up the pitch some more, get a day or so at them... Just take as long as they need to get enough runs. I'm really impressed.

The Gillespie move sure proved to be a (fortunate) masterstroke. If he came in at number 9 or 10, I doubt he would have been able to fend off over 150 balls. He's been an excellent pillar of support, he's using up time wisely, allowing Martyn to score and prolonging the innings. Fantastic stuff, Mullet-Man.

I doubt Martyn will beat the overs to 100
I doubt there's any need to try.

As I say that, he's bringing out the sweep shot (and second time around hit it for a lovely four). Interesting that Gilchrist and Martyn both left it until 87 to bring out the sweep.

There we go again. Another swept four. Maybe Marto IS trying to beat the overs!

Could be purely coincedental-he might get out rushing-that would be crucial. There is no need to try.

Martyn just hit 9 runs in 3 balls, 4 more required for his century and 1 over.100 overs about to be bowled
