Warne, despite his obvious genius, cannot bowl from both ends at the same time.

Lee was on at one end, Warne at the other.
Actually, at the time social was discussing, which was immediately after lunch when Lee bowled quite badly for a few overs, it was Lee and McGrath, and Ponting held back Warne rather than starting with him after the break. Lee's first and third spells have been excellent... the second was crap.

If youre bowling with one slip and a gully and the ball goes between them off the edge, guess what, its still an edge
The fact that you only have two close catchers is indicative of the garbage that much of the Australian attack have served up so far - and continue to do so.

I feel silly for saying this, but, GO DIZZY.

Seems such a shame to end his career (and I do fear that's what's on the cards here) like this. I'd love to see him get something back.
Well he could become a Mark Richardson style opening batsman.

I thought the period concerned was when he was carted for six and four - that was well after Glenn McGrath had been taken off.

Sorry.

Mark Nicholas just saying how he saw Macgill practice and how there was an argument he should have played in this match to which Slater replied, no argument here.

Told you all. Next time heed my wisdom.

Digging in arent we. :)
Making the most of the few opportunities that come my way.

A couple of digs can't redress the balance for 17 years of (justifiable) arrogance. Besides, I'm drinking Aussie lager at the moment. Thank God that's nearly all gone.

Such arrogance, I should put that in my signature. 8-)

Just seen Lee trying to make love with Strauss again.

Australia need to focus more on their cricket disciplines than overdoing the sportsmanship.

Gillespie.
Bit risky playing just two seamers both of who have had fitness problems. Selectors would look a bit stupid if one of them broke down and as was said earlier Pointing opened the bwling.

It's a bit risky playing an expensive seamer who doesn't take wickets too

Blunting Warne.

I bet you're really looking forward to next year's Twenty20.
Cricketing snobbery one of the reasons cricket is still a minority sport.

In these circumstances crease occupation is not that important relative to high run rate.
Yep, Bell's Gillespie-when-batting rate of scoring needs to become a Gillespie-when-bowling rate of scoring.
