***Official*** Australia in England (The Ashes)

How many overs are likely to be bowled after tea? At this rate it doesn't look as though Australia will have to do much batting this evening. Can't really see the point in going along at 3-3.5 with KP and Flintoff to come - I'm sure Australia are quite happy for England to do that at the moment.

Is anyone else getting annoyed with Shane Warne yelling "catch" after every ball? It's flying of Flintoff's bat for six - "catch". Vaughan crashes one through cover - "catch". It's starting to become embarrasing.
Not as annoying as the bowling bowling mushy from Moin or bowling bowling saqy.

At least that is encouraging.

It's actually quite funny when Warne yells out "catch" and you see the ball go sailing for six.

Still not convinced about Bell.

Every short ball causes him trouble.
Im convinced that he is not a very naturally talented player. He is gutsy but he will be fouind out on sub continential wickets and in australia.

Mark my words I know talent and he has very little.

I'm pretty happy at the moment with Strauss and Bell fiddling around, actually.

Ushering Pietersen and Flintoff to the crease doesn't really appeal that much. :)
I'm delighted with the way they are playing too - get through to the evening session, build a good platform then kick on.

Top 50 from Strauss. Well batted. Has handled Lee superbly and has looked more confident against Warne as his innings has grown.

You obviously didn't see him against Bangladesh, he got confidence through playing inferior bowling then capatalised on it big time.

He has talent but no confidence at the moment IMO.

Yep, bangers in a test match = irrelevant information

Lovely footwork from Strauss.

I think this is perfect, get ready for major fireworks after tea. Shot a ball might be in order.

I shall indeed mark your words very carefully - in my signature.

"Mark my words, I know talent" - :notworthy

Yea, Bowden had better do some stretching exercises in the tea break. I just hope it stays sunny so there's no offer of bad light for the Aussies.

When he treated him with contempt and dispatched the worst ball of the century over point for four, then when he carted him for six.

Batting well now but, as has been the case all series, Aus had him down and out except someone forgot to catch the ball.

This really has been the difference on this tour.

Aus have given the advantage back to England on so many occasions when in good positions whilst England have been good enough to capitalise.
