No, that isn't an extra bowler though.

Extra means in addition to what's already there 8-)
You mean to say that you've been stalking me continuously for the past two days just to deliver that sort of pedantic potshot as your punchline?

Rain forcing players from the field....disappointing considering the state of the game ATM. Typical English weather! :@

No, I mean you're wrong (not for the first time)

It's hardly pedantic to say the extra bowler must replace a batsman.

Anyone else think that came at a good time for Australia?

Flintoff and Jones have to come out and start again, and they can keep Lee and/or McGrath on, thus avoiding the need to bowl Gillespie.

Catches win matches.

A few months ago, England were toying with the idea of Geraint Jones being the next Adam Gilchrist.

Now, it seems, Adam Gilchrist is the next Geraint Jones.
Aside from the fact that Geraint cant keep or bat, perhaps he is.

Well I can't say the rain helped England, put it that way. As you point out, gives the Aussies a chance to regroup and keep the two more potent pace bowlers on, while Flintoff and Jones need to get their eye in again.

Agree with you.

Flintoff's being playing poorly - but still there.

Jones looks good but has been ably assisted by ridiculous field placings.

Go in, have a rest, preferably for 2 days or so.

I think that you can appreciate the point I am trying to make, and at whose expense.

(thinks back to the 'Warne and McGrath will now run through England' rubbish from yesterday).

Perhaps not.

No way that hit Bell's bat ... he'd scored too many more than he deserved anyway :p
He absolutely drove that - cant believe it took Buknor so long!

Catches win matches and all those other cliches.

And, BTW, I did say it was a "fearless" prediction not anything based on something other than blind hope.

Get a grip, Australia have real problems if Lee can't sort himself out.
Sorry, Aus are bowling crap, but Warne has dismissed 100s of batsmen like that in his career. That was doing nothing but hitting the stumps.

There was plenty of doubt there, Geraint was well forward, it could have hit the bat before pad (it didn't as it happens).

Vital wicket there. Good piece of bowling, and that keeps Australia within sight. Hopefully 460 or 470 will be as serious as it gets now.
