Katich again?

The Clarke injury looks really worrying right now.
Nah, Hodge finally gets his chance after 8 years of being denied because he's Victorian.

If Australia bat at their normal standard ( whiich they sadly haven't done all series ), this has draw written all over it

And I still don't see the point in Hoggard being night/watchman. Surely there are better options?
He did his job, there's a good chance Fred/Bell would've been out to the final ball of the day.
Ideally in this situation of course we want a nightw@tchman to see some shine of the new cherry, but I'm happy enough with his effort.

 Brilliant stuff.

Overall, congratulations to Vaughan, Warne for their milestones and for Bell reaching fifty in such a gritty fashion, I hope he gets a 100 and gives a big "up yours" to his critics and make those who backed him look correct (without naming names) and he needs it for his own confidence. I was pleased for Vaughan for getting a big knock because if he hadn't after playing so well before lunch he should have been given a kick up the back side by Fletcher. That was classical Vaughan in action - really when he gets going I find him one of the most enjoyable batsmen to watch.

And I still don't see the point in Hoggard being night/watchman. Surely there are better options?
What do you mean? Hoggard did the job perfectly.

I cant believe there were about 7 drop catches, Mcgrath must have been the unluckiest person on the day.
Yeah, but he dropped the worst of the lot, and has only himself to blame for the noball.

Incidentally it was impressive of Australia, having got Vaughan out bowled 3 times this series so bowl a grand total of 3(!) balls on the stumps all innings (one of which bowled him) :D

No, cos Aus scored 99 less than Eng at Edgybastonia. I'll back Ponting to get a big score as well as Gilly

Does it? Surely the Aus batsmen have to fire at some stage.
I'll take Martyn to score three figures.
And Gilchrist for a 50. I'm going to say England all out before 450. That's definitely what England need on this pitch.

Most of the Aussie media have been saying how well England have done. However, they batted poorly considering it was such a good pitch and were given so many chances. If Australia bowl them out for less than 400 then Aus is on top
