Yes yes he has. It took him 1 game to get going....... On the other hand. bell dropped for the next test?
not necissarily....i think he is still a sublimely talented batsman...seriously. perhaps collingwood could be considered, but bell is so talented and he was promising in his second innings.

Him or Vaughan! :p

Seriously tho, we can't carry two passengers in our batting (you might even extend that to three, if you include G Jones too) & Collingwood seems in prime nick with the blade, so there's a case to be made.

your logic goes along the lines of;

i am gay because i have a knack of telling who is a bit gay....

not really smart or very well thought out.

notice that his front foot was miles away from the pitch of the ball, and that he moved his front foot towards the left instead of getting it far forward. it was a poor shot to a very good ball IMO. he looks to be a very shaky player against spin, which is not good for our winter tours of the sub continent.
Not interested in the sub-continent at the moment.

I certainly agree that Strauss didn't exactly 'narrow the angle' - needs to work on a fair number of things.

true....i will leave that decision to those who know the both of them best.

lets be honest, bell does have the talent to be one of our best batsmen....he seems to have put far too much pressure on himself...very tense at the crease.

But if u think about it. Homosexuals can pick other gay guys from the straight ones...... a skill that a majority of straight guys can not.........

I wasnt exactly saying your gay, just that stuff like that happens all the time and its not gay mate. Like just because a team showers together.... does that make all of the members involved in that activity gay? I think not

Players have always got out to bad shots, its not a new phenomenon...ocassionally we see truely great pieces of cricket..why cant people just enjoy them, instead of ripping them to shreds.

Some people completely miss the point about this game
indeed, it really is annoying to see things like, england lost because a,b,c and d played poor shots to get out.
theres never been an inning where players didnt play poor shots and get out to them, and too many people on here seem to be the first to criticise players as soon as they get out.

Nope. Looked fine today until he got a rip-snorter.

If England win, there's not a cat in hell's chance there will be any changes (fitness allowing, of course).

Take this discussion off-list - or at least into off-topic.

Vaughans form has to be a serious worry tho...... If he fails to reach a 50 in the first 4 tests does anyone reckon he's a possibilty of being dropped?

Again, it depends on results. His captaincy has been exemplary, but no-one wants us to have to rely on another Brearley-like skipper who only gets in the side because of his leadership.

its really more shot selection than anything else. you have to pick the right ball to pull, not just every short ball.
yeah..I agree with that

Pretty much like Vaughan, who in my books is one of the best pullers in the game, and yet gets out to a poorly chosen pull very frequently

At the moment, he gets out because he plays from the direction of first slip.
