Eh? That was the most movement I've ever seen Lee get with a wicket taker in a test match. Incredible ball.
nope it just went straight with the angle.
vaughan just somehow managed to play all around it.

Again, it depends on results. His captaincy has been exemplary, but no-one wants us to have to rely on another Brearley-like skipper who only gets in the side because of his leadership.

It will be a sad day when a person is soley in the team for his captaincy abilties alone...
A captain should really lead from the front and set the example.

To tell the truth, I really don't mind that much - just as long as we win.

yeah..I agree with that

Pretty much like Vaughan, who in my books is one of the best pullers in the game, and yet gets out to a poorly chosen pull very frequently

When he was in form Vaughan's big strengh was pulling good lengh deliveries forcing bowlers to overpitch.

Sorry but three lost Ashes series (as I said if England lose the Ashes), a failed World Cup, VB Series, three ICC Trophy failure's is not good enough.
and you'd think its his fault that half his squad was injured in the last 2 ashes series?

Is Bell usually a good player of spin?
he certainly doesnt look all that comfortable against spin this summer, but bell apparently has a fairly good record in the subcontinent on the A tours.

Big difference between A grade spinners and Shane Warne tho

yeah but he had to shout Freddie about 5 times
reminded me of the Alan Partridge episode where he's trying to get Dan's attention. :p

I've just been watching the post lunch session for the first time myself, that third six, the first of Brett Lee was absolutely ginourmous.

And as I speak, Flintoff seems to be a bit injured. Uh oh; if he's is injured, that's effectively two players England have lost.
if he misses a single game of this series england have pretty much lost that game. its not just bowling and batting he brings to this side, theres fielding and a great character to have on the field.

Really? My understanding was that the two qualifications on the LBW rule (must hit in line, must not pitch outside leg) went out the window when the batsman was not attempting to play the ball?
i think you have it confused with the rule outside off. if a ball ptches outside off and hits outside off you cant be given out if you are playing a shot.
