yeah but he had to shout Freddie about 5 times
reminded me of the Alan Partridge episode where he's trying to get Dan's attention. :p

I've just been watching the post lunch session for the first time myself, that third six, the first of Brett Lee was absolutely ginourmous.
Yeah he really nailed that one. The one after hit the toe of the bat & still went for 6.

It doesn't matter how much it turns, all you have to do is cover the stumps.
and thats been so easy to do isnt it? seriously have you watched warne at all over the last decade? because the number of times hes got players out between legs and around legs and what not is just insane. Pietersen has obviously made it clear that he'd like to use his bat as much as possible, and several others have followed suit based on what happened at Lords(not to mention that tendulkar and laxman have both had enormous success doing the same thing against warne). obviously when you get out it might make you look stupid, but if you're good enough it wont get you out too often.

Really quite odd stuff. More replays of Bell's dismissals during the break, and he definately hit it. There's just no doubt at all on the replays, you can see the ball hit the bat and move it and deviate, and yet snicko said there was no noise at all.

Major mark against the use of technology there.
umm i'd think replays is part of the technology here. replays are more accurate than anything else in the game ATM.

There's always Simon Jones.

What I'm more worried about is the next Test...
people really seem to miss the point that jones has been largely mediocre until hes got the old ball in his hand for all his career.

thats it Australia have lost, i cant see them winning form here just a brainless shot from Gilchrist, F**************************************K :ranting:
its how he plays, hes always turned games around by playing aggressively. if hed somehow managed to get that for 4 he'd been lauded for showing the right intent.

Pretty generous don't you think? Australia still need more than 100 runs to win with only tailenders to come, and Shane Warne at the crease already.
its not surprising that most englishmen(and a few others) seem to be playing down their team's chances, considering what has happened in the last 20 years, most people(myself included) will refuse to admit that the game is over until australia are bowling out tomorrow.

How the hell did Clarke miss that?

Harmy runs in at full pace, basically stops, and delivers one of the most obvious slower balls ever.

Sums Aus up really.

Bowl crap, we'll gift you our wicket..

social boots up, logs on, stops, delivers the most consistent and ludicrous drivel.

Sums up some (not all) of the Aussies when they're losing on this forum.
does anybody else find this at all ironic?
amazing isnt it, no matter how good a ball the bowlers bowls, both of these 2 manage to come up with some way to blame their own batters for making a mistake.

Yes yes he has. It took him 1 game to get going....... On the other hand. bell dropped for the next test?
i hope he doesnt get dropped and i'll be surprised if he did. he looked quite capable in his stint at the crease today and was only dismissed by a very good ball, something thats happened to him all series.

Him or Vaughan! :p

Seriously tho, we can't carry two passengers in our batting (you might even extend that to three, if you include G Jones too) & Collingwood seems in prime nick with the blade, so there's a case to be made.
g. jones is really turning out to be a waste of space IMO.

And Prior continues to score runs...
Andrew Flintoff has been a great advert for northern grit, I think the stage is set for Warren Hegg's last hurrah :p
