19.2 Lee to Pietersen, (noball) no run, on the stumps and short of a
length, defended with ease

I assume he overstepped?
Yep, no beamers... yet.

Bloomin' 'eck, didn't that ball just rip? Nice last-ball before drinks!

I'm tipping Bell for some runs, here. 50+, I reckon.

Partnership of 30 runs at 4.29 an over - at this rate they will have a 50 run partnership (if still together) very soon.

Well, so far Shane Warne has gone for four quite ridiculous appeals this morning.

I'm sure you thought that they were all plumb
Nope. I point out when they are.

There's enough of them for me not to need to lie about one's that aren't

Brave man, Giles should enjoy bowling at the 4 Australian lefties.

Apart from the nick it was almost a Shane Warne special.

Yup, key man. Exactly why about 10 million pages ago on this thread I said that those people who said he shouldn't be in the side will have big egg on their faces if he takes a bag.

Is Bell usually a good player of spin?
He's not really faced quality spin so far, but i think he'll get better as the series goes on. He did score 144 for England A in Sri Lanka last year.

Replay of KP's first ball just on - little doubt he hit it. Could be crucial.
After countless replays there might be little doubt, but really Bowden would have been just guessing.

Absolutely no way of any umpire knowing that, of course. From the front it could have been forearm, jumper, glove or bat.

Would YOU trust any cricketer who appealed?

Game still in the balance imo. The wicket of KP now would swing it Australia's way.
England would have to be substantially in front. The wicket of KP right now would give us a real chance though.

Kasper or Gillespie (or both) really need to step up to the plate today.

Calm down Kevin, no need for a walloping four yet as it's calmed down.

Needs to get his left foot outside leg stump more if he's going to sweep.
