Someone who didn't make the first team for his county for half the season, and took 18 wickets in 7 games? Good call.

What is your obsession with leg-spinners - we don't have one good enough!
Yes but 18 wickets at an average of 18 and averaging 32 with the bat...
18 wickets in 7 games for a bowler - that's poor.

It wasn't really a convincing wicket for Caddick, in terms of the delivery. Im confident that it was definately because Hayden walked straight away.

But hey...he got the #1 batsman out before he got 200 so who's gonna complain?

Yes I have, look up the page
Oh yes Martin Bicknell, an opening bowler for Surrey - lets put him in as a 4th seamer shall we?

No, because he is used to opening the bowling, so needs to do that when playing, not occasionally bowling a few overs.

Bicknell, using Marc's favourite argument, he is too old now...at 34 he is only likely to have 1 maybe 2 seasons left in him.
You mean you would put a rookie 34 year old in?

Who is the most likely to come over and replace Jones????
I know Gough and Flintoff and Tudor are here but who will come out as a back-up????

About Caddick's age...well he's 33, maybe a bit old now but Caddick is 33 too...and Bicknell is actually a month or so younger...
But Caddick has played a lot of Test matches - Bicknell has not.

If hes a good enough bowler then why not?

We dont have one good enough becasue of the English Coaches, I told you before Marc
You can't coach what isn't there - until we have a good leg spinner we need to forget putting one in the national side.

Strange, I was allways brought up thinking the lower the average the better, but obviously not...

As for the Aussies Hayden was unbelieveable.... This guy is unbelieveable, he just drives the opposition into the ground and who knows he could hit 300.....
:O:O:O:O:O:O:O
My money would be against that at this stage.
