If hes a good enough bowler then why not?Originally posted by marc71178
You mean you would put a rookie 34 year old in?Bicknell, using Marc's favourite argument, he is too old now...at 34 he is only likely to have 1 maybe 2 seasons left in him.
He's about 8 years too old to have a chance for England.
Not with our attack, and I can't see Aus needing to bat again.Originally posted by Rich2001

Strange, I was allways brought up thinking the lower the average the better, but obviously not...
How can u say that???
I mean if a guy has 10 wkts @ 10 from 100 overs and another guy has 30 wkts at @ 30 from 100 overs who would u take???

Anderson's in Australia with the academy...so he wouldn't take long to meet up with the England Squad...Originally posted by marc71178

AB done it in 30-40 degree heat...
and it was all up hill...:P:P:P:P:P:P:P
But as I've said - Caddick is a lot more experienced, which makes a big difference. He's younger than Caddick :P

If you seriously expect a 30+ year old with almost no experience to be called up ahead of a promising youngster, you're more stupid than I thought you were.Quality over age though...but what about Kirtley? He's not only a good one day bowler...

Personally I'd call up Silverwood, but put Freddie in next game to bat 6 and share 3rd/4th seamer with Chalky.
