There is no way Tiffen could have seen what the Hawkeye saw at full-speed. My opinion? It was a guess. Not a great decision.

Mate, Don't be goin off that stupid Hawkeye thing...

The commentators were saying yesterday to Haydens dismissal that it was out and then Hawkeye said it was missing and they still called it a good decision...

Good luck to England today because they deserve to go away with something for the series. However I don't think that they needed to be given Langer and Hayden on a plate to win the game.
Yes, but then again we had to get the 2 of them out twice in the first innings of the 4th Test!

Well whatever you can't complain about S.Waugh's dismissal, bowled by Caddick, even he is running scared of England, he legged it off the field.

99/5

Sorry. Didn't mean to try to take the shine off the play of England. They didn't get to the position they're in without playing VERY very well, regardless of the whole depleted bowling attack thing. Realistically they've already earned a moral victory. They just need to make it formal now.

Personally, I would have started with Harmison today as opposed to Hoggard but that's just me. Harmison's hip-to-heart length would be bloody difficult to play on a deck like that.

All I cna remember is that on CG.com for the 5th Test I predicted England win toss and match, Vaughan to have best innings and man of match, and Caddick to have best innings bowling figures.

Total of 1200 runs, so that's a bit out I guess.

Oh yeah, and I had a fiver on at 10-1 on England

S.Waugh

S.Waugh to quit or not???

Just listening to former Aussie fast bolwer Thomson, And he was saying he had just been talking to some of Waugh's realitives, and they feel Waugh will call it a day, to back it up they say that his whole family has turned up today (normally just his wife does) and his also hired in a couple of minders as well.

Also running / jogging of the ground after getting out, emotions running high maybe??

Anyway it's still all speculation, we will have to wait and see.

It's possible they came down to watch because they THOUGHT it might have been his last Test, rather than him saying so.

Who knows? He might quit but I don't think he should. We'll really need him in the WI.

This is only something I heard, personally I agree with you Top_Cat, Waugh should continue his hitting form again and still has many runs left in the tank.

Most likely it would be his last test on Australian soil....and that could be the reason why his whole family came to see him play at his home ground.

8/181 Brett Lee and Gillespie at the crease.

The fat lady is warming up..................

This is pretty bad. I mean even taking into account the pitch, it looks like they gave up a while ago.

Yeah ? ...you mean to say that Australia could have drawn this match but chose to lose.... come on you know better then that. :P

I think what Age meant was Australia would rather Lose a test trying to win, rather than draw one that the didn't attempt to get the total...

Remember Steve Waugh's Number 1 comment....
