Yeah but you have to know it in depth and know that you are right beyond a doubt before you critiscize.

What is the prize for coming 1st,2nd,3rd in the Premier League?
I wonder who is eventually going to replace Sir Alex, I pray it's not Quiroz.

Of course your clear lack of knowledge of the rules will stop you from knowing that attempting to trip is a foul, whereas withdrawing your leg to avoid tripping is not.
It wasn't even an attempt to trip. It was a fair attempt to get the ball. 8-)

Well sorry for knowing the rules of the game before criticising a referee when he's made the right decison!
Oh really?

I still see no breach at all of Pickup's or Dave's laws that they've just posted.

And the fact you think that's fair shows exactly why you don't know the rules. The 2 of them sandwiched across him to stop him from getting the ball.

It's that little known thing called 'using your body'.
Yes, and then there's those little things called the rules which prevent it in situations like that 8-)

Oh yes, clearly using your body is an attempt to trip.

You know full well that if that had have been Ronaldo you'd have muredered him for diving.

No I wouldn't because it was a foul.

They between them cut off Pires' route and thus impeded him illeagally.

Therefore it is a foul and a free kick.

And what was that about Henry going missing in the big games?
So how many big games has he had for France, and I assume you didn't watch Euro 2004? When France needed him or Trezeguet, where were they?

In cricket a bowler can bowl the ball any time. The batsman has to be ready. Yet we dont find this exercised even once. Just came to my mind.

Thanks for clearing this up though about football.
However though that if a Chelsea player (for example) standing 4m away and it hits him, it is play on. That is the gamble you take in taking it early.

Also interesting that every comment ive seen has been in support of Poll's decision.

And all the papers have also concentrated on the fact that it was the best premiership match so far this season, quote "First things first, this was a wonderful, captivating game between the best teams in the country. It was intense and commited without any of the brutishness that Manchester United employed to stop Arsenal's unbeaten run of 49 league matches in October... A draw was exactly what Sir Alex Ferguson had hoped for, but the Manchester United manager will not have seen much to cheer him. This was the match of the season so far."
Agreed.

The Everton - Liverpool game was a bore, the time just flew by in that game.

Sersiouly if Liverpool don't get their act together, Steven Gerrard should consider his options. As well as buying a new striker, they should get a new goal keeper, Edwin van Sar becomes a free agent at the end of the season. Dudek is useless.

Once again Man Utd lack the killer instinct to finish off a game.Where's Ruud when you need him?Home because Sir Alex didn't want to risk him.
I thought he was suffering from an achielles injury?

Do forgive me though, my internet has been playing up of late.
