Jermain Defoe was not picked for Euro 2004 why? Yet he misses out for rubbish called Emile Heskey and Darius Vassell. Heskey scores for the first time in 13 matches, yep great player.
And you conveniently ignore the hard work he puts in for the team and the chances he creates for his partners.

He misses most, but he creates the chances for himself, and most strikers wouldn't even get his number of chances anyway.
He creates the chances for himself? Bull.

I also like the way you yourself has accepted he's not actually that good though.

Wow like that actually means much if England lose when Heskey had a chance of winning a game and he misses.

As a striker he is supposed to score, and one goal in 13 games is rubbish.

Hey that is what he is picked to do and payed very handsomely to do. He is a finisher not a creator and good on him for making a career out of it.

I actually I think Thierry Henry (or Adriano, Sheva, Ronaldinho) and Ruud van nistelrooy would be the perfect combination. Geez that would be a nightmare for defenses and goalkeepers.

BTW how good was Sol Campbell's strike?

I was talking about from a hypothetical situation.

He is one of the reasons England lost to France in Euro 2004 for hacking down Claude Makelele.

Whoever wins the Barcelona and Chelsea match wins the Champions League for me. The Real Madrid and Juventus game will be execellent. Porto shall be too weak for Inter Milan (with Adriano in the form he is in).

Monaco could be the surprise packet.
i just saw that, 2 things, Monaco won beat PSV :p
and even in the unlikely situation they do, idhardly call them a surprise packet considering they made the final last year....

No, you're talking bull, because I never admitted that - I merely admitted that he missed more than most strikers.

And anyway, if he doesn't create the chances himself, then he gets them created for him, by logic. Now, if he gets so many chances, that also means that United must have a fairly decent midfield - which you yourself don't seem to agree with.

So by you saying "he creates the chances for himself" what exactly did you mean then if it wasn't that he creates chances for himself?

I think he does, but if you don't think so (as deducted by me from the word 'bull') then you are kind of admitting that we have a decent midfield to create the chances for him?

I thought if you're an attacker you're supposed to score goals. What's Heskey's excuse? That's what midfielders are for.Creating chances.

Depends on the team selection and strategy.
