Ball of the season. Should’ve been opening the bowling with Henry this test.Duffy
vs Mariu
For CD U19s he opened, plus middorder, plus keeper.Only problem i see with a Heaphy is that he’s opening pretty certain he’s not an opener
I think he’s a better middle order player that’s allFor CD U19s he opened, plus middorder, plus keeper.
Basically. Same as Latham at same age.
I don't know what he sees himself as. But based on his 'public' cricket so far (e.g. a level high enough to be in cricket archive ..) , I see no indication for "not an opener".
Chu bats too low. Always looks good and should be No6 at least. Nearly always finds himself batting with the bowlers within a couple of overs of coming in.5-fer for Davey. Not bad for Canterbury's 8th best seam bowler, career average keeps dropping.
Chu is terrible at converting. 370 at 37 this season with just the one fifty. 1400 career FC runs with five fifties and one hundred (103*). Yeah he must run out of partners all the time, playing for Otago, but still some of that has to be loss of concentration.
Hampton looks a bit zippier than I remember. Good on him.More fun for Fisher & Clarke. Though Hampton will probably come on and take 3 for nothing to make their efforts look less impressive again.
