The only one I'm disapointed about is Tonga, Qld really needed him this season.

we are covered for centres, tonga hasnt been as good this season, Hannay or Bowman will do a good enough job...

That's true, but his form had picked up and was the major reason they got two wins in a row. He had a good game against the Broncos, at least I thought so. I'd like to see Hannay win back his jersey.

Me too, I rate Hannay, and his goal kicking will be useful. Wouldn't like to have to rely on Lockyer, God he may be, on kicking the goals in Origin.

I agree. If Shifcofske were fit I'd be picking him at fullback (he's the best in the business anyway) and his goal kicking this season has been spectacular, but oh well. I think this give QLD the opportunity to pick a form player who is a regular goal kicker. I would hate for us to be relying on Lockyer, Smith, Prince & Crocker to kick for us.

If Tate was fit he would be picked no doubt, but im hoping Hannay, he deserves it...

Of course if there is a little known Queensland centre in Melbourne doing a good enough job if ever required. His form probably deserves to himself in with a shout.

Just a question about Stacey Jones, since he is going to France next year but has one year left on his Warriors contract, and since he asked to be released, does he has to buy out his final year of his contract, the Warriors have to pay it out, or there is no compensation since he wants to leave?

Steven Bell is not a better centre than Berrigan, Tate, Hodges, Hannay, Tonga & Bowman. The centres along with fullback are more than easily covered by Qld.

I know unfortunatly he is the victim of such great depth.

But if he ever got the chance he wouldn't put a foot wrong. On Hodges, personally I feel they are even, if not just better. I myself have never really been a fan of Hodges (not that he played for the Roosters, just something about him I don't like).

id pick Adam Mogg before i picked Steven Bell, on the off chance bell is picked he will struggle because qld dont have a halfback with the ability of matt orford...

That must be the only case of someone moving to Bradford because they're homesick for Portugal!!!

it wasnt harris who was home sick, it was his wife, a case of him putting family before football...

Yeah, I was aware; "Harris" not a v Portugese-sounding name!

I just think she's in for a bit of a shock with Bradford! If he was going to UTC, fair enough. Maybe he will next year, dunno.

Hannay offers little. Hodges is a better defender than he is, and obviously offers more in attack. NSW will be hoping that Qld pick Hannay. Save Bowman for the bench- he can come on and play lock or in the backline.

I dont believe Hodges offers more in attack. I doubt if there is a slower winger/center in the competetion.

Hannay is good and theres no room on the bench for bowman cause Bowen will be there, im of the opinion the team looks pretty set now...

The only other guys with a shot are Thurston at halfback or Dallas Johnson on the bench...
