See, this is exactly what I expect to happen, yet rarely do they use the expected overlap. Running back into the area where the original ruck & maul occured seems to be much more the norm.BoyBrumby said:You just concentrate on sorting your "scrums" out!!
Seriously tho, there'll always be a bit more space in Union sometimes 'cos blokes get sucked into rucks & mauls.
Our scrums are fine! Every time you see a win against the head you feel like you've witnessed a miracle

Fair enough, although I could have sworn to have seen a number of occasions where there's more defending players involved in the maul, yet the ball's still brought back into the ruck...but then I understand that you're trying not to get isolated or whatever.KennyD said:

On a sidenote, I've always found it amusing that my old school (in Northern NSW) won the NSW State Schoolboys rugby title a couple of years running with a team made up purely of league players taught how to play rugby a few months beforehand.

Union goes through Phases of defense and attack, thanks to England, we are now in a defensive phase with not as many tries being scored, give it a couple of years and the high try scoring games will be back.

When it comes to any of the St. George players you have to pick them even if they sit out a rep game, they have amazing abilities to recover in a short period of time to play for the "Big-Red V". It happened to me a lot in VNRL last season.BoyBrumby said:& friggin' Matt Cooper is playing!!!!
