None of the Indian batsman performed in this series.IMO, Sehwag cannot be singled out.Andre said:I nominate Virender Sehwag. Once again proed that he cannot bat outside of the sub-continent with a shocking Test series against New Zealand.
Economy rate's a big difference though - 201 off 50 overs against 255 off 50 overs.vandemataram said:Ajit: M: 107 Wkts:162 Ave:28.9 E/rt:5.1 4 wkt:7 St/rt:33.6

So if Ajit is a poor OD bowler, than Caddick must be utter nonsense!
How can anyone be ready for 2 pitches in a row which can barely be mistaken for the outfield and on which the ball moves a mile off the seam? If either of those pitches were used in a County Championship game in England the county would get half their points nicked...vishnureddy said:but also the nz batsman who are very used to these conditions failed badly.
I heard that from Martin Crowe on Star Sports. He said that he was dissappointed with the NZ batsman b'coz they are used to playing on similar kind of tracks during Christmas.Rik said:How can anyone be ready for 2 pitches in a row which can barely be mistaken for the outfield and on which the ball moves a mile off the seam? That's just Crowe though. Seriously those types of pitches would be banned over here. A little grass to spice up the pitch is fine, but nearly as green as the outfield (seriously, I'll get Rich to post a pic of it), that's just not right. Though it makes a change from playing on the featherbeds that we had to make do with in England.vishnureddy said:I heard that from Martin Crowe on Star Sports. He did not have a very good series in England.vishnureddy said:But sehwag had only one bad series. In NZ team also only Richardson batted well all the others fared badly. Sehwag had a very good series in SAF and ENG and didn't play in WI b'coz of injury. You can't fault him for this series in which not only he but also the nz batsman who are very used to these conditions failed badly.
Economy rate of Hoggard is also very high, going by thta England should axe Hoggard from their WC squad!Neil Pickup said:Economy rate's a big difference though - 201 off 50 overs against 255 off 50 overs.
And I think Andre was just trying to provoke some discussion![]()
1) Those stats compared Caddick & AgarkarChoora said:Economy rate of Hoggard is also very high, going by thta England should axe Hoggard from their WC squad!
Yes, but Ajit's strike rate is better than Hoggards!marc71178 said:4.91, not great, but still better than AA!
One can never be sure about English pacers because of health recordmasterblaster said:Agarkar will be in the WC Squad, there is no way India will drop him. Hoggard, Im not so sure about.
I don't think Laxman is a first choice. I think its the other way around. If Bangar fails then Laxman will come in.masterblaster said:Kartik wont make the WC Squad, Kumble will.
Bangar wont get into the ODI's in New Zealand, unless Laxman really underperforms.
THere's no way Hoggard will be in the India squad! :Pmasterblaster said:Agarkar will be in the WC Squad, there is no way India will drop him. Hoggard, Im not so sure about.
