But soon...a human born into the Matrix will be it's downfall...he is 8D THE ONE 8D
The One in the cricketweb matrix is undoubtedly Ajit Agarkar(The oracle has foretold it). He is just starting to realise his potential and powers and very soon will start kicking everyone's butt and even fly...!!! No matter how many boundaries or sixes you hit off him, the indestructible AA will keep coming back at you. :P I think the Indian cricket board has realised this which is why they are giving him chance after chance after chance.......:)

I think the whole Indian batting lineup is the most overrated !! There's no point naming one player here and there....the whole batting lineup is rated way high, and that is the perfect example of overrating.

I was just joking about AA, man. Why he is retained in the team after tons of failures defies logic. I realise that some of the other Indians are overrated, but AA takes the cake.

I'm playing an India game on ICC at the moment, but with a twist - I can only pick batsmen, batsmen-keepers or batsmen-bowlers.

In the last 2 Tests I've batted twice and total about 1900 for 16!

The selectors need to do something about Sehwag though...he's not an opener even I saw that in England, he's too attacking and gets out cheaply...in ODIs as a big hitter, fine, but Tests? No. That average has gone from 55 to 42...very unlike Sachin...

Whilst Murali is a good bowler i believe he is still highly over rated. He was recently ranked the best bowler ever next to Bradman as the best bat ever. Excuse me but this is wrong. He throws for one thing and can't they look at guys like Richard Hadlee, Ray Lindwall, Craig McDermott, Deniss Lillee, Courtney Walsh, Tiger O'Reilly, Michael Holding. These are all players I'd take in my world side before Murali.

Anyone know why he came in at 7 in the 2nd innings, was he off the field injured or something?

It was to let him have a slog when the conditions were a little easier - 25 off 18 balls was a vindication of that strategy.

Nope, Ganguly finally realised that sending Sehwag as an opener was a mistake. As i have said earlier, Sehwag is a middle order batsmen, and India will have 2 go in test matches with specialists openers rather than playing with makeshift openers!

Certainly Walsh and McDermott weren't as destructive as Murali.I would though rank Lillee,Marshall and Ambrose above Murali!

Sometimes the selectors too get mixed up between the two formats of the game (like some Cricweb members).:saint:
But to think that they are getting paid for it:!(

The most overrated player gottabe Shaid Afridi, he's a totally useless and crap cricketers and to think that such a muddy player has played 100+ ODI:P :P :P :P .

Someone told me that Afridi is known as "Chikna Chootia" among his teem mates:lol:

we may have to re think our strategies soon & find a new player to name an award after!!!!!!

AA dropped from the Indian Test side for the 2nd Test!!!!!:O :O :O :wow: :wow: :wow:

Can it be that the Indian selectors have finally realised his true worth?????? Can he now be expected to retain his position in the ODI side?????? All will be revealed shortly!!!!!!

No sarcasm here, but
Agarkar is a very useful ODI bowler, his SR of 33.8 odd, and average of 28 with the ball with a 160 odd wickets is excellent for an Indian bowler. His batting has come a long way as well.
He will be picked for the ODI's.

I have no doubt that the great one will return with performances to rival his past efforts - note how without him in the side India lost...

so does that mean that nothing has changed for the Indians - I thought their bowling attack looked alot better without him??????

He'll probably be given another opportunity to cement his place as the all rounder in the OD side in this series, and will gain selection for the WC 15 where he will again disappoint!!!!!!

I'd even go so far to say that India can not win the WC if they select AA at the expense of either Nehra / Youhannan, either for the ODI series v NZ or the WC, as both the other bowlers need as much time as possible to work on 'tandem bowling' with the other bowling options - Khan, Sehwag, Gangully, Harb etc!!!:P

Ajit is a good OD bowler, he has been better OD bowler than your imported bowler "Caddick".

. Caddick has a better economical rate than Ajit but his st/rt and average is worse than Ajit.

I'm not a big fan of Ajit, but the fact is that he has done better in OD than most other bowlers.

Caddick M:43 Wkts:52 Ave:30.4 Eco:4.02 4 Wkt:1 st/Rt 45.2

So if Ajit is a poor OD bowler, than Caddick must be utter nonsense!

Ah, but Caddick has better ears! ;)

Seriously though, I wouldn't suggest Caddick as an automatic ODI player any more, especially following the efforts of those 2 young, non-OD players.
