That one person only said about Hoggard over Shoaib once or twice, Balaji has been praised in almost every post made by that person! I also did say that this was based on this forum...

Fact is noone is fool over here to rush to conclusion, Ajit Agarkar took the fastest 50 wkts BUT noone was dumb enough to compare him with Kapil dev!

Like what? This was a serious post btw. I can go into detail but as a rough guide, I suggest that Tendulkar is overrated because 90% of people these days say he is as good a sBradman, or the only player you can compare with Bradman, or the 2nd best player ever after Bradman.

Laxman is underrated IMO because 90% of people seem to think he has only ever played one innings and lives off that. In truth they are the people creating that impression by refusing to acknowledge he is developing into a consistent test match batsman who deserves his place in a strong batting lineup.

Tendulkar is an exceptionally talented batsman who is the best player of his era. Brian Lara, Andy Flower, Matt Hayden, Steve Waugh all have dominated over long stretches, but none has come quite close to matching the sheer consistency of this man over an extended period. Let's wait till the end of his career to find out where to put him among all-time greats(that he is already there at the age of 30 is a tribute to his talent and endurance). I don't think he has been overrated by serious, knowledgable followers or players of cricket.

Laxman is considered as a vital cog in the Indian batting machine right now and he has developed a lot of consistency recently and he is rated highly in the Indian team. My only suggestion would be to let him come in before Ganguly in tests instead of wasting him by making him bat with the tail most of the time.

Its the "number of individuals " thats counts and not the "number of times" a single individual express his views.Thats very simple to get, unless you happen to be extremely weak in mathematics!
