Webbers v ipswich 1st round league cup
Well everyone backed the webbers to do it easy on the form they have shown over the last month, and who would argue they have totally dominated every game they hae played. ipswich would always be a little tougher coming from the championship, however on paper the webbers looked mighty dominate. At fulltime the scores where all level with plenty of shots on goal but not enough on target. it was a good midfield battle going backwards and forwards however no team could get one past the keepers. Into extra time, all sub shad been made and it was cruical that if a team scored in extra time they would probably go on and win. the crowd and media where stunned that it was nil all after full time with the webbers knocking so many past other sides inb the last month.
Extra time come and go with alot of missed opportunities. still nil all and into penalties, and i am sure the crowd where behind there boys, chanting ipswich ipswich, the young lads would surely be feeling the pressure, and they where, the first 3 penalties from the webbers where all saved by the keeper, and ipswich go through to the 2nd round. a shock loss all ready in round 1 when alot of people where looking forward to the webbers taking on a premier league team. well well, the webbers gone and ipswich through. a great game has been witnessed.
