Cricketer Of The Year
Webbers v Blackpool

webbers turned up ready to play with some new faces in the side with the rotation system going ahead as per what the coach , manager and chairman have all ready discussed. Young B Fox, N Pickup and Robertinho all retained there spots on last games form and on the form they all showed again they will struggle to be replaced however there was some quality on the bech or not even playing. Webbers looked the goods all game however there was a few shaky moments with the keeper nearly getting caught up on the 1/2 way line and the oppositionhitting the post twice however just could not crack the line.

however the webbers played well and the score line shows.

I think we need to deal some of this talent to other clubs. It may be against the original concept of it all, but it's the only way that we don't end up as a potent version of Real Madrid.

so what do u suggest,
let half the team, depending on who it is go to other sides if they wish and just report on them every month.....i guess the people that want to stay in the webbers can stay and the players that wish to go when an offer come sup i will post it and see what they want to do....

The way I see it, players will eventually end up refusing to sign contracts etc because they're not League 1 players.

Maybe some of the excess players that we have, could be let off to other clubs? Or make another team? Would make an injury far more of a deal that way. Because this way, an injury happens you can bet that, the player whose injured will have just as good replacement.

yer but with the side we have we wont be in league one for too long we willbe in the epl with in 2 seasons, and i have made every one on contracts till 2010 so hopefully by then we are in europe and every one is happy but if players wont to move to other clubs then

I don't think anyone WANTS to move to another club. I just think that the fear (well, mine at least) is that we'll be too good and win every game we play, never allow goals, hammer in 2+ consistently, run away with the Premiership, win in Europe, be knighted etc.

I'm not metrosexual enough to be sold to Real Madrid. Not yet at least.

I think the main problem is that all of our current abilities are too high, we are already all at our peak instead of reaching it in 2-3 seasons time (minimum). Most division one teams are lucky to have one player worth over one million (pounds), every screenie I saw had players rated at twenty two million (Australian, which is about 7ish in pom land).

With the current squad I would back us to at least reach the semi final of one of the cup competitions…

With this squad I'd back us to go unbeaten until 2010!

Basically, this squad will probably win League 1 & the League Cup & the FA Cup this year, and the Championship & UEFA Cup the next.

It'll all get real dull real quick.

Hmmm... not sure.

Would be good to get the suggestions of others. I think it's still a top concept and with a bit more planning could be very successful. We're still early enough into it to address this kind of a problem. Somehow we have to make ourselves less awesome. What's the most effective way to do that on the whole? Is there a way to limit potential skill etc.?

I don't think the potential skill is what we have to worry about, it still needs to be high-ish so that we will be able to compete if (when :p) we get to the EPL and beyond. I think i remember reading that there is a save game editor available, which may be of more use since the game has already started (not sure thou would have to find it first if it was needed.) But my vote would go for going back and altering all the current abilities and just let the assistant manager handle the friendlies and kick off the season from there...(maybe do a quick report on how we went in them or something...

Webbers v Bournemouth

Finally the webbers fans got to see a home game and with 23091 fans coming through the gate they where in for a good game. The visitors where always going to be doing tough just sitting out of relegation zone, with the webbers flying high ontop of the table. andrew garven got his first run for the webbers and mad eit count scoring two superb goals.Marc Robbins also scored after a wonderful cross from Garven however marc was deemed offside although some may think otherwise. webbers really playing well. a good game with bournemouth also having an ok game witha few chances but just couldnt crack the webbers defence. all in all a good win for the webbers and they look like they are in control ontop at an early stage.

Webbers v Southend

webbers had there second game at home and it was a game filled with everything. in the first 5 mins infornt of 22010 screaming fans referee R Lewis tossed oyt southend striker S Goater in the first 5 minutes. Webbers had total domination in the game with possesion at half time 62% to the webbers to southends 38%. webbers had plenty of ball, set up plenty of chances however couldnt hit the target with 32 attempts and 15 on target and 17 off so management not happy with that little statistic. however the webbers control in tackles and passing is outstanding. webbers would be a little dissapointed with southend crossing the webbers line for the first time all season with a bad ball and southend striker M Bentley found all alone one on one with webbers T Halsey and put it past him on the far post.

a good win for the webbers with all players and stand in captain L Camps all playing well.
