South Africa have one bad game and they out , but a win and they face potentially Afghanistan in the Semi final, Australia have one bad game and now even if they win vs India they could go out if Afghanistan destroy Bangladesh

They are a legit good T20 team now though so losing to them isn't as embarrassing as it would have been in the past.

Well Australia is pretty much out now, India has a super high NRR so the match doesn't matter to us and we might lose those pissy finals and semis but this Indian team is super clutch when it comes to matches that don't matter.

So I'm just reading that no matter if Australia beats AFG and India and finishes top of the group they still play #1 seed of other group while India plays #2. What a stupid format not rewarding performance (Assume Group 2 seeding is Eng #1, SA #2, WI #3)

Nah it’s embarrassing. I mean good on them and tbf I didn’t watch either game and kept up via score updates, but Australia should never lose to Afghanistan in any format, anywhere. If they bow out at this insultingly early stage it will at least hopefully mean a total rethink of the T20 side, which has been persisted with well beyond its collective use by date

there's 8 teams left. in many cup comps around the world, we'd be in the knock-out stages already where one bad game sends you home. it's no biggie imo.
