Afghanistan still such an incredibly young side too. Naib and Nabi aside, everyone is 25 and under, and unlike Rashid, genuinely so too it seems. Definitely have a WC in them and no chance like the present.
Nah man Gurbaz looks around 28-32 but his record says he is only 22!

Some of their ages are fudged by several years. So average age of the team would be closer to 30 than 25.

Because conditions matter.
I also had Ashton over starceh for this you know but in hindsight I think that was actually a pitch for pacers more so for the spinners. Non of the spinners looked overly threatening

This is news to me, when did these teams received T20I status in their matches?

It’s the wrong call when he’s picked over Starc at any time. Starc takes top order wickets for fun at the back end of tournaments.
Especially against a side whose batting is hugely reliant on their opening partnership which makes it all the more bizarre.

Very concerning. Worth noting that it's not the usual suspects (David and Zampa) dropping everything. Warner and agar are usually good in the field.

No thats incorrect. It's usually goal difference first. Which is football's NRR. If there is a 3-way tie then Head to Head doesn't really work. So NRR/goal difference is preferred.

Knowing you can only play the 2nd semifinal is an advantage? yeah right! given the 1st semifinal is a day earlier, giving the winner of that match an extra day off before the final.

Any team would usually prefer to play first so thats a slight disadvantage for India. Dude one can twist this anyway one likes. The only reason it's predetermined is for TV Rights (prime time slot) and not to give an advantage. Thats all there is to it. You are just being disingenuous
No, this isn’t right. In international tournaments head to head is first. Hence England are through tonight despite only being 3 points ahead of the team who are 4th in our group, because we beat them. Meaning even if they win 10-0 and we lose 10-0 tomorrow, we still finish above them.

When it’s a three way tie, football uses combined head to head between the three teams so cricket could do the same there if it wanted, it would then use NRR as a secondary factor in that scenario.

I don’t mind NRR - just putting you right on the facts.

Need to bring some fielders in and bowl more accurately rather than just on the pads..

Bangladesh are cruising at the moment..
