Bumrah is all time top 20 for me currently if he gets to 300 then he’s a top 10 and above 350 he has a strong chance to crack top 5 of course all depends how he goes with his next 100-200 wickets .
Exactly this. 350 wickets @20 should place him alongside Marshall/McGrath/Hadlee.

Cricketer Of The Year
India's schedule

2025-
5 tests vs Eng away
2 tests vs WI home
2 tests vs SA home

2026-
2 tests vs SL away
2 tests vs NZ away

Early 2027-
5 tests vs Aus home

If he stays fit, you can expect him to feature in upto a maximum of 16 tests out of the 18 tests scheduled in the next two years.

Yeah he isn't cracking 300 by 2027.

But by then he will be 34 years old. His pace will be down 10MPH. It's a questionmark how effective he will be at reduced pace and if he can replicate the same form, especially at home. He may need to retool his action.

If he finishes with 350 wickets @ less than 20 at the current rate I am placing him as the best ever
He almost certainly won't IMO.

In fact, I think this back spasm is an ominous sign that we are near the end of his peak. Suddenly niggles and pains get more common. Having a bad back is a pretty difficult thing for a fast pacer to manage in their 30s. Bumrah will have to reduce his pace to manage his strain and that may compromise his penetration.

He almost certainly won't be able to bowl the entire England tour but I expect with conditions there he will be fairly productive. At home, he may be used for shorter spells.

Well he currently has 205 in 45 matches. 4.56 WPM. That would need 32 more matches. I don’t think that happens. Certainly not still averaging under 20.

Last year he did 6.54 WPM. I also don’t see that continuing. But if it did he would need 23 matches.
