Ball by Ball first took place in Dec. 1925. The first cricket commentary direct from the ground occurred in 1924 when 2BL provided scores every 15 minutes

I guessed 1924, but the other information was from 'The Oxford Companion to Australian Cricket' page 436

It states that Radio Broadcasting was introduced to Australia in 1923 when a Concert was transmitted.

The book was published in 1996 so maybe new info. has been discovered?
