These two sixes mentioned here are definitely not runs due to overthrows. At best they could be six all run, which were allowed. Asuming these were not hit right out of the ground.

However the original question only asked this much :-

i was the first to hit a six in test cricket who am i???

I dont think these two can be ruled out as an anwer to this question. there is no mention of balls being hit straight out of the ground in the question as posed.

International Coach
you can go to the scorecard of the 3rd test betwen eng and Aus in 1897-98 and find it our for u r self

there is a clear difference between hiting a six and a all run six

2 - is that the score when a side first past 1000 in a FC innings?
3 - most balls bowled in an inning / match?
Neither.

1 & 2 are 'mainstream' records. One is a team and the other an individual record. Pretty much everyone knows the corresponding records in Test cricket.

Bookie

1018 is the number of catches which Frank Woolley took in FC cricket, which is subsequently the record for the most catches by a fielder (non WK)

Not even SJS is interested :@

If I get no response in another six hours or so (till the time that I leave the office), I'll just give the equivalents in test cricket and be done with it ?

Frankly, Tapioca, I am not enjoying this thread anymore. Sorry mate.

Since nobody except biased_indian is interested, I am finishing this off.

(innings &) 851 is the biggest margin of victory in first class cricket.
850 is the largest number of runs added during the course of a batsman's innings- MV Sridhar when he scored 366, out of Hyderabad 944/6 v Andhra in 1993/4

IF anyone is interested, they can ask the next one.

Is it Burkey1988's turn to ask the next question ?

OK here's a question to keep the thread going - Hope Burkey does not mind. :)

Name the bowlers who took 4 wickets in 5 balls in Tests (that did not involve a Hat Trick) ? Should be easy . :) :p
