Probably respectable it seems to be the level that starts to make difference to their performances.

Doesn't really matter at the moment. Just get it as high as possible, I'd say.

Truly awful starting squad. So basically just the usual advice of picking up cheap meds, comps on the market - probably worth spending about 50k each on a couple of more solid trainees that are like this to pump nets into since he'll have so many free (because he basically has no-one worth training there from first glance). Something like this sort of thing:

Use the wages to help try and pick up high competents (competent is 400-650, it alters upwards with mediocre+ secondary or with feeble+ primaries).

Even someone crap like the guy I pulled he could train into something pretty nice with all the nets he'll have free - so he'll probably want to try and get an all-rounder as well to train up and use the remaining nets:

I'm sure he can get someone better than that, but you get the idea - they'd be prof-feeble/prof-feeble alrounder with woeful/feeble fielding and respectable stamina with a season of training at least (2 bat, 2 bowl, 1 stam, 1 field - can cut out the nets as necessary).
