Seriously though, when's the friendly cup competition start round here? I've probably only got a week or two left before I get dumped out, so I'm looking forward to taking part.

I agree, to an extent. Last season, I didn't use any multiple primary nets and I managed to get my core players to a decent level (well, strong+) as well as training a 17yo who I sold for 1mil. I have 3 players, a batsman/keeper, an allrounder and a bowling, who I am keeping on 1 primary net (or 2 if they are allrounders) until they hit remarkable or so, which should be the end of next season. I'll also have two strong "fillers" who won't be outstanding but will offer depth along the way.

These 3 batsmen and 3 bowlers will be the base from which I train up 17yos on multiple primary nets - so I can still have a decent team whilst I'm waiting for my trainees to peak. So I'm getting my team to a decent level (filling in gaps) then focusing on 3-4 players at a time, which I think is the best way to do it.

To be honest, that's exactly where I'd hope to be in a season's time. Unfortunately, I had a pretty pants starting line-up so it's taken a while to train them up to the base level - which, admittedly, is partly because I'm going for five Wonderfuls.

Obviously, we "-inhos" are just supersmart :ph34r:

Personally I just take it as it comes, I didn't particularly plan on having 17yos to train last season, but I got a near proficient early in the season so wasn't worth selling immediately and have just kept training him, got a solid bat and snapped up a near strong 17yo towards the end of the season for 260k. Like others I avoid duplicate nets, I'm all for efficiency and patience which is why I'd sooner give a 17yo one net from 17 to say 22 than give him 2-3 duplicate nets at 17 and 18 and then stop altogether at 20... just seems a complete waste to me.

Doubt you'd get over 1,000,000 for someone who's 28, Scaly, especially with only feeble concentration. You'd get a good figure, but probably not that much. Could be wrong though, I don't really pay much attention to prices once they get out of my range.

i got £1.89mil for Holmes last season when I sold him. he was a 27yo, superb/feeble bowler, with feeble stamina. most superbs will sell quite comfortably for over £1mil imo.

How far off are those two? My academy's been **** this season so I'm looking for someone to train. The 2nd is closer I'd assume but if the first isn't too far off I'd preer him. I'll be giving the guy 3 nets.

Bottom guy is closer but neither of them are particularly close IMO.

I'd buy the top one because he's 2 levels higher in stamina which's approx. 7-12 nets worth. Either one could be gun though with two nets and fielding.

How many weeks do you think he's away from popping?

I'd obvously go top too, but if he was really close I might have gone bottom.
