Won my game easily against previously mentioned random team

Fishos 70 (20.2)
Canning 4/11 (5), Giles 3/13 (5), Erasmus 1/4 (0.2)

Magical Ponies 0/74 (12.5)
Griffin 40* (38), Farmer 25* (39)

Fishos Magical Ponies
Top Order: feeble respectable
Middle Order: abysmal feeble
Lower Order: worthless abysmal
Seam Bowling: woeful mediocre
Spin Bowling: feeble mediocre
Fielding: woeful woeful
MOTM: Canning

Farmer's sluggish batting is getting to be a worry. Given that his stamina is the strongest on the team bar Griffin and my two allrounders, he should be a decent opener, and his temperment is steady, so I wouldn't have thought he would be that slow. Doesn't really matter though, am sure he'll improve after his batting pops once or twice.

I played this guy last week, reckon he could be a chance of breaking the record transfer fee:

Gopal Malik (69207)
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, changeable
A steady player with feeble leadership skills and competent experience.

Plays For: Leeds United
Nationality: India
Age: 20 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 116,289
Wages: £23,274 p/w
Stamina: strong Wicket Keeping: quality
Batting: superb Concentration: phenomenal
Bowling: worthless Consistency: quality
Fielding: feeble

I don't think he's worth the asking price, doubt he'd break the record. Prices are ridiculous at the moment though, e.g:

3. Jermain Matthews £2,550,001 (Gibbos XI)
Plays for: hespeler hitmen Stamina: respectable W/Keeping: woeful
Age: 24 years old Batting: strong Concentration: respectable
BT Rating: 39,945 Bowling: quality Consistency: superb
Deadline: 19/06/2006 20:29 Fielding: respectable

And he's still got a day left till the deadline. Glad I got Watkins for 2.9m last season as he's much better than that (and was 19 when I got him). There was a guy from my league on the market last week (for 6.5m, so he didn't sell), wonderful batting, wonderful WK, exquisite concentration and proficient stamina. Get to play his team next week (probably twice - cup + league), played them twice before and haven't got this guy out yet. :(

Yeah I'll have 1mill in about 2 weeks time yet I don't think that is going to get me much on the market at the moment! :(

Some absurd prices.

1.2 W Loxley to Umar
Thick edge from Umar and it's hit Dilhan in the leg at slip! It's in the air, it must be. Yes, Devapriya caught it! OUT!

First 999ers wicket :D

Nationality: Australia
Age: 22 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 9,482
Wages: £1,452 p/w

Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: abysmal Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: proficient Consistency: woeful
Fielding: woeful

how much would this guy get?

Hard to say, but this guy on the market at the moment is pretty much identical so check how much he ends up going for.

4. Brian Cherry £105,030 (Jons Giants)
Plays for: New Fairfield Stamina: competent W/Keeping: worthless
Age: 26 years old Batting: abysmal Concentration: feeble
BT Rating: 7,920 Bowling: proficient Consistency: woeful
Deadline: 19/06/2006 1:46 Fielding: feeble

Edit: finally got Watkins up to sublime fitness, first time ever.

Ah think I'm out too now anyway. He's fairly low, and I was mainly interested in the captaincy, but 120k is a bit much.

Perfect start to my cup quarter-final:

End of Over 1: 1-2, runrate=1.00
Louis 1-0-1-2
Crowther* 1 (3 balls)
Greaves 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Garvey c. Watkins b. Louis 0 (FOW: 1/2)

Two of his decent batsmen gone, Crowther is his best though (superb/sensational or something like that, was in the U19s last season).

And that's the end of the match. Vindscreen VIpers won by 165 runs.
Vindscreen VIpers 298-4
Jamees 999ers 133-10

:(

Still 3rd in the league, so this is just a minor setback.

I really thought you'd win that with your stronger bowling, but I guess my batting and Rahimuddin (strong) came through for me.
