Louis pretty much single-handedly putting us through to the semis:

End of Over 11: 27-5, runrate=2.45
Louis 6-1-12-5
Hogg* 5 (7 balls)
Sturgess 0 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Pollock b. Louis 7 (FOW: 27/5)

Thought we might struggle a bit against their quality top order, but obviously not. He's set to bowl his ten overs straight through, and the guy at the other end now is my worst bowler, so Louis could end up with career-best figures (his current best being 7-22).

Well, I'm rather annoyed at Ryan for taking two wickets.

End of Over 14: 36-10, runrate=2.57
Louis 7-1-14-8
Ryan 1-0-7-2

To put this in context, the team I'm playing is on top of their div II league and got quality top order and competent middle order on Friday. So I'm pretty pleased with that performance. :)

Thanks, just want them to hurry up and get the runs now so I can see my ratings before the Australia/Brazil match. My first PAN for a while (should've TIE'd again dammit :p) so should be getting my best ever ratings.

New signing puts me in debt for the first time ever (until gates come through, I hope)

Edward Trotman (411705)
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A steady player with respectable leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Jamees 999ers
Nationality: England
Age: 26 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 7,122
Wages: £1,146 p/w

Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: proficient Concentration: feeble
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: woeful

Will probably move in to open with Nix, and I'll move Carrington down to 6. Cost me around 270k, but I think that he'll give my batting more backbone, and a damn good opener.

Hamshaw made 63, while Waddell was eventually out for 137, adding 214 for the 2nd wicket with Duggan having put on 128 for the opening wicket with Hamshaw. Duggan is probably playing his greatest innings yet, in what is certainly been my sides finest hour to date with the bat. Hopefully we can reach 370, and then... I suppose we'll see just what Joe Harriot is made of.

End of Over 47: 348-3, runrate=7.40
Wrack 9-0-71-0
Fry* 3 (3 balls)
Duggan 128 (84 balls)
Last Wicket: Lennon b. Butt 0 (FOW: 342/3)

Innings ended terribly. Last 26 balls we scored 18/6. Should've been looking at 370+, instead we finished up on 360/7 after being 342/1 after 45.4 overs. Very annoyed at this. I suspect the 20 runs we missed out on here at death will no doubt bring about our downfall. Duggan unbeaten on 133* (90)

BARNES OUT
I've been watching your match on multiview nibbs and I think that you were better off not getting Cullip out, he'd hit the stamina wall for sure, and was single-handedly resposible for you getting back in the game. Hope you get Harriot soon man, good luck.

A fine day indeed. Duggan played his best innings to date, an inning that imo, totally took the game away from Wombles!. He came in with the RPO around 6, and lifted it more than 7 with his 60 ball hundred. Took a while to get on top, but they gradually fell behind the asking rate. Wickets eventually fell rapidly with Mutasa destroying the tale. They final 16 await us, and a visit from the season 2 cup winners, Byrndwr Bulls, who are beatable tbh. This is also our 3rd home cup match, a superb achievement

Nicely done nibbs.

I'm a bit annoyed atm, the top seed should've been knocked out but somehow managed a one-wicket win thanks to a 40-run last wicket stand between two bowlers. Would've made my semi-final a lot easier if they had lost. Oh well, at least it means I get a home match next week.

My ratings yesterday:
Code:
	[B]3wide.com Strike CC Asterix XI[/B]
Top Order: quality remarkable
Middle Order: competent strong
Lower Order: abysmal feeble
Seam Bowling: strong remarkable
Spin Bowling: proficient strong
Fielding: feeble mediocre
And the ratings of my next cup opponent:

Doobie Bombers
Top Order: wonderful
Middle Order: remarkable
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: proficient
Spin Bowling: strong
Fielding: feeble

I also have to play them on Friday, so the outcome of that match will be crucial. Never beaten them before but I think I've got a good chance at it this time, especially with Watkins likely to be at full fitness.

My fixture list for the next few weeks is insane:

23/06/2006 (OD League) Doobie Bombers v Asterix XI
25/06/2006 (cup) Asterix XI v Doobie Bombers
30/06/2006 (OD League) Asterix XI v Pebble Street CC
07/07/2006 (OD League) Borderliners v Asterix XI
14/07/2006 (OD League) Asterix XI v NorCricket United

With the possibility of another match against NorCricket if I get to the cup final. All those teams have beaten me at some point. I'm pretty well poised to finish at least 4th though, being 8 points ahead of 5th place at the moment, so I'm fairly confident of not relegating this season.

Had a good win over Gaurav today in our friendly.

Central Districts 4-340
Herd 129 (129)
Heads 105 (117)
Collins 2-41

Sad Decadent XI 10-178
Garvey 48 (63)
Sam 36 (48)
Bennie 5-48
I'll have you know, that I was resting my better bowlers to let them regain their fitness:p. Good win though, fair crushed me. PFL levels really working against me...

My keeper popped in batting to proficient and in fielding to woeful. Happy with the batting, but his secondaries are still pretty poor, so i might keep him at 6 until they pop.
