It's just natural when two sides geographically close to each other play each other, that a rivalry will be formed.

Collingwood vs Fitzroy is an example. Every bush competition with two teams from the same town is another.

It's just a different reason for a rivalry.

I realise that, but the best rivalries are formed with great matches, then the rivalry, in this case it's been the other way around.
