Its time like this I wish I knew what a nuffy was.

Moss is 30?! Ok, take him off my young guns list... :/ All the good ones in Victoria are old!

A nuffy is someone that is good at nothing.

No one has mentioned David Hussey. He has blossomed in the last couple of seasons (Australian and English)

Welcome back Mav. Missed ya' around here.

I think the main reason he hasn't been discussed is because he is 27, and everyone around here knows if you're not under the age of 25 you have no realistic chance of making an Australian team.

I dont agree, I reckon players especially batsmen over the age of 25 have as much chance as those under, even though many believe that youth now is the way to go after the Clarkes sucess. But look at the trend of Lehman Hayden, even Katich to an extent all getting picked in at the age of 29, 30 and blossoming as players in the maturity.

But yeah reading around a bit, Thornely, bit of a Shane Lee in the latter part of his career, could have done it, but didn`t. Jaques, I wouldn`t go calling him quality. But yeah, go the Bulls, especially Lee Carsledine, watch him people.

First of all it is not my view. I reckon it is much more valuable to a side to have a player in his late 20s make the national side, they have the experience. What is better 6 or 7 solid years from an older cricket or have a young guy come in and perform well, but then dip due to lack of experience and get bundled around the domestic circuit and probably forgotten.

Re: Lee Carsledine - I wouldn't be holding any hopes for him playing much this season, he has had a terrible run with injuries and will find it hard to get in ahead of Watson & Hopes. Perhaps he might be a chance in the Pura Cup.

It is possible but apart from Clarke there aren't many young guns in the team and under that risk, CA might not want to risk too much.
