Bevan, Andy Blignaut and David Dawson to Tasmania
Nathan Pilon to Victoria
Shannon Tubb to South Australia
Sean Ervine to Western Australia
Matthew Mott to New South Wales.

That's off the top of my head, I'm sure a few will hit me later.

And Shane Watson to Queensland

Steve Magoffin to Western Australia

Here we go:

Pura Cup: Queensland or Victoria (whoever gets the home final).

Queenslands chances depend on how many players they have on international duty. Now even the most stringent of N.S.W. supporter would agree that if all are available Qld has the strongest team in the competition - Maher, Perren, Love, Symonds, Watson, Carseldine/Nye, Secombe, Hauritz, Bichel, Noffke, Kasprowicz would surely be the strongest in the comp.

Victoria have won the comp last year and will be keen to back it up, they should have most of their players on board for this season, that they had last season, there batsman will score plenty of runs, it will all depend if their bowlers can bowl them to victory, or like last year they rely on declarations and chasing big totals.

Western Australia will be the surprise packet for mine, instead of South Australia, with Ervine, Goodwin & Hussey they have some very good players. If Magoffin makes an impact you can roll me in carpet and throw me off a bridge. They were successful last year in ING because they had the batsman to chase down any total, but no team can chase down 400 (ah that was a great game) However, in Pura Cup you need bowlers that can bowl a team out.

N.S.W. goooonnneeee! And great to see, couldn't happen to a better team.

South Australia, will have to rely on steady captaincy from Greg Blewett and the other experienced players. Will struggle without Andy Flower, although he didn't have a spectacular season last season, you would have expected him to have a much better season this time around. Watch out for Manou

Tasmania, actually look pretty good, if the usual suspects do their thing Bevan & Blignaught should add some spark.

ING

Western Australia should have the batting guns to take it out again.

Queensland will struggle without Symonds, Watson & Kasprowicz for most of the season, hopefully Mackenzie will shine with regular game time.

Victoria should have the team to do better, but their bowlers let them down all the time in ING, will probably happen again.

South Australia, I'm interested to see how they will go, in particular if there strong lower order can keep them in games like last year.

N.S.W. Don't have the players to win it. That felt great to say that.

Tasmania, with Bevan past his best and Blignaught expensive I don't think they will challenge, although a few late wins could see them in a semi final spot.

Most runs: Love
Most wickets: Tait
Wicket Keeper: Secombe

So strong that Hayden can even get into the side. Qld will do alright in both comps. NSW will struggle with the Waughs gone and Bevan moving to Tas. WA looks good if the bowling comes together. SA will be the dark horses with a much improved pace attack and a couple of good young batsmen.

Those are players. I said they don't have the players to win it, looking at that team, i still stand by those statements.

Yep, my bad, an oversight on my part.

Of course NSW doesn't have the players..

If the Aus selectors hear a rumour that any of them might have even heard the word 'form', they'll get moved into the Australian side.

Trivial matter, but Manou has been appointed as captain for the summer when Boof is away.

Mail, Jaques, Thornely, Phelps, Haddin and O'Brien look like the batsmen to me, and I know Krejza can bat a fair bit as well. That side is certainly more exciting than I thought we would field, actually, I don't mind it on paper.

Clark is due to fire. The thing I don't agree with is Bracken cause he's a specialist fielder :p

And rightly so :D

I've heard rumors that he will be starting the season in Tasmania's first XI and batting in the top five, he'll probably play as a specialist batsman with Clingeleffer keeping.
he should be too, a fine player...

I really rate Manou , I think he's got a big future.

But even as a big fan I cant say I would have burdened him with the captaincy.

Im suprised Ed Cowan wasnt named in that NSW squad, with the Waugh's and Bevan gone plus Clarke and Katich set to be away most of the season I thought he'd be the one to step up and fill a role in the middle order, he's scored a stack of runs in grade cricket and he seems to have impressed all the right people in NSW cricket circles.

Cowan has done very little to suggest he is ready for the next level - not even a prolific grade scorer yet.

At the time that I checked the grade run scorers list last year (sometime in Jan) he was the leading run-getter.
