    Who's Better???

DingDong is better than them both and should be on the Rohan cricket team... Spears shall be shaken, shields shall be splintered! A sword day... a red day... ere the sun rises!! Ride now!... Ride now!... Ride! Ride to ruin and the world's ending! DEAAAAAATH!!!

    Just a bit too early...

Yeah, frankly I've visited Aus once before. I haven't seen NZ though but would love to!

    Worst International "Batter" currently????

Do you mean MLB or some other league? Still, shows how much I know about baseball... Unfortunately, I've never been able to branch out my love and enthusiasm for cricket into other American sports...

    Worst International "Batter" currently????

Yeah, baseball pitchers aren't required to bat, either. Interesting point you bring up...

    Peter Roebuck

This was when I was going to school in India in the late-90s. I would think it's fairly illegal in the US! Hmmm, maybe this is why my parents took me to India for my early schooling...

    Just a bit too early...

One thing I'm wondering though, the subcontinent got its last turn in 1996 whereas the last one in Aus was 1992? We're going back to the subcontinent before going to Aus again? I guess I will never understand how these things work. :) So I guess 2014/2015 will probably happen in Aus...

    Worst International "Batter" currently????

Yeah, I imagine after about 50-odd FC games that most test players have, and God knows how long in the nets, you sort of pick up some basic level of batting. At least some ability to defend if not to score runs. Even McGrath finally conquered his batting demons! I remember at one point McGrath...

    Ponting's future in jeopardy???

Hmm... am I a bad person for being glad that Tendulkar's records will probably remain intact... That said, though, I do hopes he stays around. The cricketing world needs a villain... I KEED! I KEED! 8-)

Would you like these sort of tracks in international cricket

What I find surprising from that is Debashish Mohanty's first class bowling average of 20! But while I think that's a little extreme, I don't think every match should be a 4.0+ RPO, 500+ on both sides festival of bowler-bashing. Those are equally ridiculous, IMO.

I've had lots of canings on the palms and sessions of kneeling outside the classroom doors for various offenses. But never on the buttocks! That just sounds deviant...

    Worst International "Batter" currently????

Just to spice things up, I think Muralitharan is the best of the worst batters. That guy is a treat to watch. :D

    Mithun Manhas --an usung hero????????

Rhodes and Jayasuriya, sure enough, offered a lot lot more to their teams besides just an average. But they do not make a good comparison here because they were also both in their respective national sides when the sides were fairly new / inexperienced. Rhodes was pretty much with SA since their...

Manhas is not Tendulkar... but yeah, we get your point. :p

    Peter Roebuck

I do agree he tends to be a little over dramatic at times but I sort of agree with the general sentiment he expressed in that article. The gap between "good" and "average" sides has indeed widened and it is most obvious in test cricket. This makes test cricket between these uneven and mismatched...

    ODI Bowlers - E/R V Wickets

Well for the most part I don't think the Pakistan attack was every successfully built around Waqar (or Akhtar who is similar). It was built around Wasim Akram which allowed Waqar to exceed runs, as it were, and also be incredibly lethal with his wicket-taking. Wasim, on the other hand, provided...

    ODI Bowlers - E/R V Wickets

Joshi's 5/6 in 10 overs against South Africa was probably the most awesome ODI bowling performance I've witnessed by an Indian...

    Graham Gooch in ODIS?

Hmm, I never realized how good a record Fairbrother had. Unfortunately can't comment on Gooch. Never saw him play. :(

cricketers who have made the most of their talent

I think he was mistaking flashiness and style for being better probably. Because I guess Mark Waugh is generally considered the more stylish of the two with regards to batting. Steve is easily better, though, over all.

    My new Bradman...

Yeah, and only 29 at that! Do you just select him less for ODIs or is that just how the test/ODI ratio works out in the long run? Seems a little odd that he's played only 20 more ODIs than tests. :-O
