    9th Match - New Zealand v England

The saddest thing about all this will be the Ravi recall.

    9th Match - New Zealand v England

The thing that bothers me is there is no doubt Southee bowled very well. He hooped it at good pace and put the ball in the right areas. But it went from the hand. Good batsmen should be able to play early swing much better than England did even if combined with the challenges of good pace in...

Line is 3. Under or over on NZ wickets lost in the chase?

    9th Match - New Zealand v England

Hmm. I take nothing away from NZ but there has been comical batting by England - be it Ballance, Broad or others - on a level I cant recall witnessing before.

    9th Match - New Zealand v England

ODIs count for little for me so I cant imagine what it would feel like watching this shambles if it actually meant something to the viewer. Must be sickening. It is fun watching NZ though.

50% coming from wrist or fingers - if I am reading that graphic correct - is complete bull****.

I love the way Boult moves. He looks a quality athlete. Did he play anything else apart from cricket?

    Ireland Fans Society

The problem with the Irish and CC is that they are not guaranteed to be released from their County to play for Ireland. A county career can last 10 years or more. It puts players in a difficult position as Test selection is only for a few and isnt guaranteed. Even if the Irish players are...

Wrong but I am sure you know that already.

Death Bowling - A Case for the Defence

Are they really though? We may be moving towards this but they are alive and well so far in this WC. Every major nation seems to still use them as a bowling option.

Death Bowling - A Case for the Defence

Even if you do that then you are still going to see the 5th best bowler bowl 10 overs rather than have the top 1&2 bowl more. Id rather the sport showcase its premier players by allowing them to bowl more overs. 10 overs is an artificial limit that people have fallen in love with. As for the...

Death Bowling - A Case for the Defence

It is a good point. I would be in favour watching the class bowlers bowl more rather than seeing a couple of fill in bowlers bleed the excitement from the game.

Death Bowling - A Case for the Defence

I can understand you say that you see the merits of this but "a fan"? Terribly dull anti-cricket IMO.

Dammit ....when will the revival happen ?

You raise an important point which I had not considered and am perhaps guilty of myself. When I think of TT cricket I think of Port of Spain -- more precisely QPCC and other surrounding clubs. There could definitely be a more inclusive atmosphere locally.
