    Welcome to Indian cricket.
  5. Johan

    Kallis vs Warne

before the war Hammond had 83 wickets in 77 games and bowled 12.1 overs every inning (very close to Kallis), from what I can gather he was just difficult to hit and used to make pressure and the era was seriously flat.

    easily England's day

    McGrath. Marshall. Hadlee.

honestly I can also see a case for Hadlee over McGrath but McGrath was better on flatties and performed better in the home of the strongest batting he could bowl against (India) so I'd give it to him, Hadlee needed a huge tour of windies honestly.

take Wil out today, wrap them up tommorrow by 150-180, take that hundred lead and give them a 500+ target for the chase

    McGrath. Marshall. Hadlee.

    McGrath is not overrated lol
  13. Johan

    Kallis vs Warne

other than the obvious one you're not really gonna find a better spinner than Warne and that in itself is a huge debate, Kallis has one decisively superior and one on the same tier.

Aura : Warne vs Viv vs Imran

sounds like someone with supremely good opinions.
  15. Johan

    McGrath vs Jack Hobbs

Warne beats any cricketer bar Viv and maybe Imran in aura battle, not fair.
  16. Johan

    McGrath vs Jack Hobbs

McGrath and Sachin had a pretty similar aura, though to the English McGrath was terrifying, star power well yeah Batters are more popular than bowlers, Ponting had more star power but wasn't even a top 3 cricketer in his own team.
  17. Johan

    McGrath vs Jack Hobbs

Nearly impossible to seprate McGrath and Tendulkar, both played in bowling era first and then easy batting era and were immensely successful, I think I might go McGrath because he was even more clutch.
  18. Johan

    McGrath vs Jack Hobbs

Marshall > Hobbs > McGrath > Tendulkar for me in primary discipline, the impact of Hobbs and Tendulkar may make them greater cricketers though.
